I just wanted to say my immortality theory, if you became friendly with a spirit in life, and you were old and going to die, to stay alive forever, could you transport yourself into the other place and live in that form forever?

And thinking about that, if you did it, could you then be summoned to earth as other spirits are?

Ummmm
No.
While you were at the other place, your body would slowly be dying.
It dies, you die.

Bit if you're still alive and talking (like Kitty was in PG) in the Other Place, and yet you're seperate from your body, if your body dies, you'll still be conscious. That probably didn't make sense.

It's an interesting question... in the Other Place, the mind forgets about the body, but does it still need the body to live?

Looking at it that way, then actually I guess Nectanebo was correct.
Once in the other place, if you let your body die, your mind is still intact.
This begs a whole shiz load of questions though.
Assuming a magician knows your birth name, could he summon you.
IF you are summoned, would you die on entrance to the earth, because you aren't a creature of essence, OR would you survive, becoming a creature of essence through your time in the other place.
This would be a great question for the author, should he ever come back on...
Even if you do survive, and become a creature of essence, would you still have all the powers of an entity, or just some.
More than that, however, what would you be???
Imp, Foliot, Djinn, Afrit, Marid? One of those below, or one from above?
Again, what would you essence be??
Afrits are creatures of fire; Djinn Air and Fire; what would you be?

Well, it depends whether you think your soul or your mind goes to the other place, and whether they are the same thing, or are independent of each other. Because the mind is created by the body, but is the soul? And if your mind is separated from ypur body, would your brain just create a new mind? If your soul is separated from your body, you would still live, but how can you think from the point of view of your soul? Is there some connection from mind-soul, and you choose whether to see from your soul's eyes or your body's eyes?

Just think a bit, like I do. Too much, people say. ;)

He's making a sarcastic comment about your grammar. The word you were looking for was "too", not "to".

Wow, that's cool! I never ventured this line of thinking. I want to be a djinni as Bart is one. And all smart one seem to me to be djinn.

Okey doke, this is the way I imagined the other place.

A humungous jigsaw puzzle, and the Spirits are each individual pieces in the puzzle. The size of the pieces of the puzzle represented the power of the spririt, and when a spirit, the spirit that was gobbled get's forcibly merged with the gobble-er. When a spirit dies in the magician's world, the piece of the puzzle is forever lost under the carpet, and then into the vacuum-cleaner and the bin. And, now, the swirling colours thing that is described I see as each individual colour representing a spirit. Like, not just Blue and Green, but like how cameras can show like millions of colours, so you're personality would be would determine your colour. And when a spirit is summoned, that puzzle piece of one particular colour that has mingled with all the puzzle pieces of all the other colours get's forcible sucked out, and the colour, or essence, of the spirit, get's turned into a form.

So yeah, hopefully that made sense. Has anyone else had particular ideas of what the other place seemed like to them?
