Yes... so? We could shut down every single on-topic thread in this forum, except for the Ask The Author board, on the grounds that Stroud has the final word, so there's no point speculating.

of course, but until then Sentynel's idea works
I agree.
I reckon that books that dont explain every single detail are better then books that just make every thing obvious,
books with mysterys in them make you think after would.

Anyway, if books explainede everything what would be the point of forums?

sorry to everyone for my bad grammer and spelling, I no b good at spelllin

Speculating is *always* fun, especially when the author leaves the ending open-ended.

I think I'm still too grounded on earth to really apriciate the other world

*sigh*
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

Do you think there's sound there?

Well, perhaps only in your head, or telepathicly?

Cause that's how it seemed to be in the books...

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

Well actually, that might be true, i mean, Bart and Kitty talked telapathically

Did the other spirits yell at Kitty telepathically?

Their daring, nerve and chivalry

Im guessing so because when you talk to yourself, you dont really say, it out loud. You say it in your mind...

Well, if there's something to see, there must be something to hear. Only I don't think whatever you hear there is coherent.

I agree with the telepathy sound theory...
Ianna wrote: Did the other spirits yell at Kitty telepathically?
I don't think they talk as much as relay feelings. Bartimeaus talked to Kitty because she wasn't used to the lack of structure, like how he made a shape so she could reconize her.
The telepathy sounds good. I like the idea of how they think something to themselves and it is broadcasted to everybody.

I don't think that there is much "self" in the other place.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Everything seems to be memories or a kind of "substance" in the other place.

Yay.

People like my theory.

Well, there's not much self because everyone's combined, right Artemis?
