Ptolemy's Gate & Deathly Hallows

Ptolemy's Gate

Which is better- Ptolemy's Gate or Deathly Hallows?

Deathly Hallows
Ptolemy's Gate
Both equal
Are you certain? I checked Wikipedia but it doesn't mention this.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
I think that more than a new wand, what Neville needed was confidence. His grandma's attitude on the first books didn't helped, either. DA did.

beyond night and day, beyond heaven and hell.
Beyond you and me.
Just let it be,
just take my hand and come with me,

JK Rowling stated in an interview.

If you haven't noticed wikipedia isn't the most reliable source.

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry

Oh, I had forgotten about that, but I was thinking about the "wand chooses the wizard" (you won't as good results with another wizard's wand...) bit. I guess that'd even it out then.

I think Nevillle just took a little longer to "come into his powers".
By the epilogue he must have been really talented, because you
probably can't become a professor at Hogwarts if you're only
talented in one area.

Once again, this is incorrect. The wand always chooses the wizard or its allegiance is won. Family wands simply have an easier connection than other wands that aren't truly the wizard's.

I thought they were both great. In Ptolemy's Gate Nat managed to raise himself up from the typical corrupt magician he'd become and proved it with his sacrifice in the end.

And in The Deathly Hollows many characters took a step up, like Neville. I mean, did anyone see how much Neville changed? He went from timid dork to rebel leader during the absence of Harry, Ron and Hermione.

So, overall I thought both books rocked!
You are... Isis! ~~~ Isis was the protective goddess and used her magical powers for people in need.

The epilouge ruined the closure.
I think Jo wrote the epilogue so that no other person continues Harry's story. He is 36 in the epilogue & it was stated his scar had never hurt him again. That pretty well completes his story. What about Albus Severus? I heard some wild rumors. Try this out- Voldermort had a son through Bellatrix. The son is intent on taking revenge on Harry's children. He is in Slytherin (obviously). Albus Severus lands there too. He, Scorpious, and Voldermort's son are the new trio. They become evil & powerful. Ron - Hermione's finish them off.

Geez lay off the angst.
A battle to the death between the progeny of Ron/Hermione and Ginny/Harry?
I do like the Bellatrix/Voldermort thing. But what if that kid ended up being like a slightly worse Snape? So basically in the middle? I don't like pure dark or pure good.
Look, Queezle.

If it supports the AS/S, I like.

Hmm, it's a very good theory actually. I doubt Jo would do it though.

Voldy and Bellatrix having kids?

-shudder-
hi there
first of all, Bellatrix is dead so, there might be a problem there. :hmm: But it was obvious that Bella loved Voldy, and Voldy had some remote feelings for her, scince when she died he let out a scream of rage. Only problem w/ that is she was married. Hmmm...

Like that would stop them. Besides, she could have had a kid before she died, and ditched it at some orphanage.

But, don't let someone else write JK's story

Not true love, per se.

lol :D Plus, i think it would have been mentioned that she was pregnant. And why would she ditch her beloved Voldy's baby? Plus, its an oppertunity to twist another young mind to evil. How could she pass that up?

Bellatrix? Bring up a baby? I don't think Bellatrix and babies mix.
She could have been pregnant before we met her. Maybe even before Voldy fell the first time.

I want to be Bella's child.
