Ptolemy's Gate & Deathly Hallows

Ptolemy's Gate

Which is better- Ptolemy's Gate or Deathly Hallows?

Deathly Hallows
Ptolemy's Gate
Both equal

Hi, after completing Deathly Hallows, I wondered how it was compared to Ptolemy's Gate. The 2 of them are my favourite books (DH is slightly better). Do u think after Nathaniel's death, u would have preffered Harry's? Which among the 2 is ur favourite? And does'nt Snape seem a lot like Nathaniel?

SPOILER:

Nathaniel's death was so much better than Harry's survival.

'Cos in our hearts, Nat lives on in our hearts as a hero. And Harry moves on to greater things, such a breeding with Draco's lover

Edit: If I were a mod, this would have been moved already...haha

Well, if I was a mod, it'd be too. So there.

And I disagree. We can't always have sad endings.

For the time being, this will be in the HP forum.

You're mean.

And Snape and Nathaniel don't really have anything in common. Snape was a bully who never washed his hair. Nathaniel was a misguided teenager who wanted power who primped too much.

I can read that Luciene, use

I think Nat had more good in him then Snape. I mean, Snape invented spells to cause pain. Nat was just a little brat.

who's dead now

yeah, i felt sorry for snape though. But then again, it was probably his own fault he didn't get the girl seeing as he didnt wash his hair.

But Nat had no one who loved him, after Ms. Underwood died. And he was abused.

Snape could have had Lily for years.

The book one right?!
I don't think Snape and Nat are similar.

They really aren't. Unless you count the whole abusive childhood thing.

Hygiene aside, I really think they're similar.

Like they had the same attitude towards power in their youth. And they both had people who must have tried to reform them. And in the end, they were both proven to be decent, if misguided people.

And even, the hair, I'm sure Barti called John greasy at one point.

But that was from excessive primping.

Snape runs from shampoo.

It does specifically say that. And he was only called greasy by people who disliked him.

How do you know? Maybe that's his hair type, maybe he had a potions accident when he was little?

I just enjoy making fun of him.

Snape lover.

You're channeling Ron and his prejudice.

I'd have to say, due to the fact that I really can't decide, that they're equal . . . right?!

No, no. That is the invasive hype talking. Fight it.

HP will never compare to the Bartimaeus Trilogy.

Quite honestly, I think it will.

Jonathan Stroud had a mystery line running through his trilogy, like JKR did through her series. I think they were both good in their own ways.

Though I must admit that Stroud is the better writer, half the time. But I liked the DH ending better.
