This had me the image of a gigantic guy with a santa claus' kind of sack, plucking out Russian coal mines, trees, oil wells, etc, while laughing "HOHOHO"
hope it's not gonna be a bad dream tonight

I know, I've been trying to escape my mind already, but it's no use, there's some extraterrestrial force chaining me into it

HOW COULD YOU!? I TRUSTED YOU! *tears off Didier's Canadian badge and throws it to the ground*

Oh and thanks for the nightmares, Aggron. :P

That's allright, your screams are music to my ears!

Well, somehow it doesn't feel right

You're just saying that because my screaming voice is about two octaves lower than my regular voice. It unnerves people.

Er, a someone called 'Ofunu'. No, I don't know who the hell that's supposed to be.
But I agree with the sentiment.

I love how I was actually trying to stimulate a semi-serious discussion and we all just derped instead :P

I don't think there's a single topic in here longer than two pages that has stayed on topic, excluding, of course, the queezle one.

SHE'S NOT DEAD OBVIOUSLY!

Slightly back on topic: A significant chunk of the internet seems to believe that the Ukraine crisis is going to lead to WWIII. These people are not very bright. Or just lack a basic understanding of history.

Hahaha, yes, that's actually pretty accurate. :P
I don't think anyone would risk starting another WW with Russia and the US, no matter on which side.

WWIII really isn't feasible anymore. The world economy is just so ridiculously interdependent that any large scale war would be crippling. Added to that is the fact that a real world war would inevitably have to include two or more of the nuclear powers on opposite sides, and in that case - either the war would be over very quickly, or both sides would be afraid to use their weapons for fear of the retaliation. If there is another world war, it likely won't be winnable.

As for the Ukraine, it's outside of Nato and the American sphere of influence. Russia could have sent the entire army into Kiev and the west wouldn't intervene militarily. Economic sanctions are really the only thing the West can do, and even then, Russia's resources are more important to Europe than the Ukraine is...
