QUOTE (Ptolemy's Gate @ Doubleday Hardback edition, page 427, end of
chapter 30)
'I can't get out, but you can.'
'With this wing? You must be- Ah... I see.' The lion shook its head.
'Not a chance.'
...
...
I saw Ptolemy grinning lopsidedly at me, one hand raised.
I reached towards him. 'Don't-!'
He snapped his fingers, spoke the dismissal words.
...
Furiously, against my will, I accepted Ptolemy's last gift.
I rest my case.
Yes, but I didn't think that was annoyance. I thought it was that Bart
loved Ptolemy so much he wanted to defend him to the very end.
Exactly - he was annoyed that Ptolemy was forcing him to leave when he didn't want to.

I suppose you could call it annoyance. I guess I'm think of annoyance as wanting to slap the other person.

Barti was probably regretful at that point as well. Like he could have done sumthing to save Ptolemy, but he didn't.

Yes.

I think the main emotions there were love/wanting to sacerfice himself to try to help (annoyance as some may call it)/sadness/regret.

But I bet he felt those emotions to a lesser degree for Nathanial when he sacrificed his life 'cause Nat was kinda rude. And Barti had like 5000 years to get used to Ptolemy's death.

What do you think Barti did after Ptolemy dismissed him? (how he released his emotions)

Caused a huge roar in the Other Place.

Maybe he did something similar to his next master as he did that Prague one who was really fat...

Speaking of George Lucas...if he was making it, Barti would probably scream NOOOO really loud.

I have no problem with him being a creative consultant. His graphics were good in the orginal Star Wars for that time period. But if he wrote the script...

*Nathaniel and Kitty trapped in Hall of Statues*

Nat: All the statues are so coaruse and hard...

*Looks at Kitty*

Back to real life...

*Throws up thinking of it*

Barti probably would have slapped Ptolemy if he thought it would stop Ptolemy dismissing him.

I don't think Bart would ever have slapped Ptolemy.

Maybe blown a rasberry at him or given him the finger
User Avatar

Possibly.

But he wasn't even as rude as he normally was, even when they got into heated arguements.

Maybe it'd be....

Why did Nat die?

Because he looked at Kitty.

Oh, come on you know that hilarious?

Ok, it stunk, but hey, it was my first try.

No, I like her...I really do.

Just not as much as Nat.

And it sounded like something Bartimaeus might say....on a really bad day.

On a bad day means...take this for example:

Kitty summons Bartimaeus again. He'd feeling weak on his essance and gets pissed off at her. He might say something like that to goad her or something, I don't know.
