Uh, not really. Bartimeaus said she might have hesitated, but not that she would listen...I think :djinni:

That is weird... I didn't notice how it was spelled in my book though

I didn't know it was in there in the first place.. hehe

Mwamba was probably as nice as queezle was. Strange how the female djinn seem to be nicer than the male ones.
You have to consider the fact that in AoS, Bartimaeus says that there are no true genders amongst the spirits, only assumed forms.

Well, according to Stroud the djinn can pick their genders eventually. See the questions to the author.

where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry

Is'nt the topic about Nathaniel's character in the last book? I really did'nt like his character in the start......... imprisioning Bartemaeus & all. But he became better & better. I really loved him then. He sacrificed his life for his country, Kitty & Bart. In other words, he did a Ptolemy. I would have loved it if he had survived.

"He pulled a Ptolemy." Very nice. :D

I agree with you.

Me too. The ending made me cry, and I found that rather than the tradgedy giving me and imprinting effect, it made me feel upset. The last paragraph really haunts you...
Look, Queezle.

It's totally part of this Forum's charm that after the first page of every topic the discussion is completely different to what it's 'meant' to be.

I reckon the ending was perfect. It just... Worked. Although I feel a bit miffed knowing that with one of the main characters dead there's less chance of another sequel.

I don't think that the ending worked at all. I hated it. And it can come back.

Nat and Queezle can be ressurected!
Look, Queezle.

Personally, I feel all depressed because he died! :( I thought it was sweet, and a great ending, but part of me wished he wouldn't die because how old was he? Seventeen?

I have extreme difficulties in complying to that rule, but I try my best.

And of course Nat and Queezle can be ressurected. If only a certain author would consent to cooperate...

Not like I'm pointing any fingers.
Look, Queezle.
the ending made people love it. it made people think that maybe, nat was not just another magican who was in another book. it made people relise that he wasn't going to return. this is it and nothing els is going to happen, but it was the best ending in a fiction book i've ever read, by far the best magical fictionbook. lord of the rings came close...but it wasn't the same feeling. and whenever i think about what bartimouse said last "i like to think he knew..." it makes me love the book more. these books could last forever and i would keep readfing em now, because jonathan stroud is the best writer i've ever read from!1  :mouth: :magic: :djinni:

Queezle? How could you not know Queezle! From Golem's Eye!

And the ending sucked. No offense. But, it kinda did. Because...because...Well, I don't like to talk about it. I am mentally scarred for life.

Poor Nat!!!
Look, Queezle.
i would rather if he lived.........
Finished trilogy july 29th 2007, still heartbroken
hehe i agree. i don't think nat should die (well at least he shouldn't die in a painful way), since he became more of a good person (and his younger self) and deserved to live a better life than the one he had before. it's like life can't accept his apologies for being john mandrake. :nathaniel:

It's either our extreme love for the books or Nat's life. Coz if Nat had'nt died we would't love the books as much as we do & vice versa.

No, we would love it, but not as good as it is now.
