Ptolemy

Indeed, we may have got bored of him if there was more, but because of his 'short bursts' he seemed all round a more lovable character than Nathaniel, although, Nathaniel did get more likeable at the end of PG.

He was actually likeable the whole for me, besides the end of GE.

Ptolemy was a much nicer better, more likable character but Nat has more issues and is a better character :afro: :new:

I think Nat was easier to relate to simply because he was human. But barti was waaay funnier!
I actually thought that Ptolemy was a bit arrogant. Not that Natheniel wasn't, but Ptolemy didn't seem as perfect as Bartimeus made him out to be. I just loved Natheniel as a character.

I loved Nat and both a person and character.

I don't really think Ptolemy was arrogant, per se just really honest in his abilities. Kind of like Dumbledore.

Dumbledore can't compare to Ptolemy. I'm sorry, it just breaks the laws of literature.

Yes, you can.

You can compare certain characteristics of a person. I'm not saying they're excatly alike, but that they both acknowledge their gifts.

lmao that was funny right there....i guess i perfered Ptolemy as a person, but i liked nathaniel better as a character, and i agree with Apollos lit. rules, along with the laws of physics and the 5-second rule, its about as un breakable as can be :P

o0o0o i broke the tie, now its 21-22

I, with all honesty, preferred Natty boy through it all. Ptolemy was awesome and all, but his goodness and naivety bored me after a couple chapters.
I´d say Nat. He´s more interesting
:gladstone: don´t ask why, I don´t know reason for it^^
I thought that Ptolemy was little too boring...
And I seem like all power grazy gyus...

If Ptolemy was boring it was only because he respected those around him. And Nat makes for a more interesting read if only because he is completely full of himself (in GE at least).
There is a sort of busy worm,
That will the fairest book deform,
Their tasteless tooth will tear and taint
The poet, patiot,sage or saint,
Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,
The best of reasons I'll supply;
'Tis bread to this poor vermin.

I think I liked Ptolemy for personality more than Nat... especially in GE. But by the end of PG I liked Nat better :D yay for character development!

Something tells me this is a reason why he doesn't have a whole book dedicated to his adventures with Bartimaeus.

Indeed. It would be a very boring book.

Mainly cause we already know half of it.

Ptolemy's nice and all, and he's like the ultimate master, but I still like Nat more. Just because I kinda know his story more, you know?
Ptolemy. No doubt. Nat -> :getfirefox: <- Ptolamy
