Looper does look pretty interesting. And it's well reviewed. (Also apparently they got the Primer guy to consult on the time travel stuff.)

JGL? :P
I would take a bullet for that man
I watched it! It's funny and heartwarming and not quite as confusing as Primer.

Do you hear the people sing?/ Singing the song of angry men?/ It it the music of a people who will not be slaves again!

There's so many good movies coming out in the next few months; I hope I can get together the cash to see all of them.

In other news, a week ago someone I had just met told me they loved me when I started talking about the Hobbit... Nerds are great.

Pitch Perfect was hilarious. It's possibly better than Mean Girls in the high school/teen genre.
FREAKING CLOUD ATLAS COMING UP SOON AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I wish I were a cat-dragon
^Something tells me I'm going to need a flow chart to understand that movie.

I haven't seen Pitch Perfect but I refuse to believe that there's anything better than Mean Girls. :P

And apparently, they're making a Life of Pi book as well!

This movie feels like a very well done parody. It's hilarious on multiple levels. Watch it!
Eventually. My uni's theatre gets films several months late.
I'm extremely torn on the whole Life of Pi thing. I know with it being marketed as a "3D family fantasy adventure" (whut?) they're going make drastic changes to the story, but if it's a terrible film...

Anyway...
This is not okay.
Disney ILU, but please be more awesome.

On a happier note, I saw Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter on the weekend. I don't care what the critics thought about it; that movie was amazing.

Saw Rock of Ages too, it was nowhere near as good but still halfway decent, IMO.

I dunno, they're getting rid of Lucas' control. They can hardly make it any *worse*...

I saw The Amazing Spiderman and The Shawshank Redemption (yes so late!) only recently. Both were great but ofc the latter was far more epic.

No, he's actually a "creative consultant"

http://www.thestar.com/entertainment/mo ... -star-wars

It was on the front page of the Toronto Star, which says a lot about their priorities :ermm:

Right, but it's not under his complete control.

Went to see it on SAturday and the stupid movie theatre printed off the wrong ticket and we were late so we didn't notice that the movie was half way done. I saw the endings to ALL the stories and I sat there waiting for the climax and then the credits rolled. so pissed.

We got a pass, although strictly speaking, we shouldn't have got one, 'cos my friend works there and we got in on CastPass.
There's a few recent posts on this thread I'd like to respond to, but I'm going to have to wait 'till I finish my midterms to get to it.
Until then, here's this travesty of a World War Z trailer.

Oh lawd. Fast zombies in WWZ.
sentynel is gay
Fast zombies I am okay with.

Badly CGI`d zombie tidal waves? No.

Throwing out a beautiful and creative story for the cliche of "The American guy has to save us from the apocalypse?" I've seen too many of those movies to care anymore.

You know what I thought it'd be like, based on what the movie synopsis said? A series of smaller stories connected by whoever the hell Brad Pitt plays, just like in World War Z, not some stupid linear oh look let's run away from the scary things in New York City movie.

I'm actually more surprised that the writer was cool with this. Unless the story is dramatically different than what the trailer suggests. Which is highly unlikely.
