3D just sucks in general.

I remember when I went to Wonderland, it was a big attraction, and it was actually really cool.

Now Avatar and co. have ruined it.

Avatar is one of a handful of films that were actually filmed in 3D.

Nope, haven't seen Guzarish. Is it worth watching?
That is difficult to answer. I mean, Guzaarish is a very different movie from the usual Bollywood-kind. Goan culture and influence basically. I personally didn't find the story great and at times it seemed a bit weird. Ethan and Sofia's characters especially (that is Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya). One isn't used to it. But possibly that is why one must see it. And, um, Hrithik Roshan. <3
And parts of the movie are really beautiful too. I loved some parts.
I know many people didn't like Guzaarish and found it weird. I went with high expectations (because critics liked it) but was left a little disappointed. But I should say go ahead and watch it. It is very, very different and not like what you would expect. In spite of dealing so much with euthanasia, it is not the emotional kind of movie at all really.

Aye, it's graphics are stunning.

But I was referring to the fact that it popularized it, and the following films try to mimic its success.

So... you're blaming Avatar for doing it well, rather than the followers for doing it badly? That seems a little backwards.

Of course they obviously didn't intend have a bunch of crappy quality 3D movies follow it. I'm not blaming it for making these terrible 3D conversions. But you can't deny that Avatar began this trend.

Key word: TREND.

Notice how there was were barely more than three movies per year before 2008, the year Avatar was released. Then, in 2010 and 2011: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-D_film#3 ... present.29

Avatar was released at the end of 2009, after numerous other films released in that year including big names like Coraline, Up, Ice Age and Final Destination.
Certainly there was a big increase of 3D movies, but I don't think you can blame Avatar for it alone, nor do I think it makes sense to blame successes for rubbish imitators.

The Hobbit will be in 3D :D

BOTH OF THEM, THAT IS.

^_^
I wish I were a cat-dragon
Coraline in 3D was pretty fantastic. It's kind of suited to it. Another good one was Despicable Me, it made me notice some of the details in the clothing, backgrounds, etc. To be honest though, my eyes kind of stop noticing the 3D for the most part after about 15 minutes in, no matter how good it is.

I saw a featurette about the first week of filming on The Hobbit, it looks really good.

^^ I wanted to watch X Men as well, but ended up watching Pirates 4. For the second time.
Johny Depp is pure  , Jack Sparrow never gets old -at least for me. I didn't like Penelope Cruz's character, tho, but I also think it could have been a lot worse.
Not as good as the other ones by a long shot.

I love how they didn't even try with her character. But I like Penelope Cruz and at least she did what she was assigned to in the fullest (be a source of relatively clean fanservice.)

Saw Kung Fu Panda the other day. Ugh. flooping 'eck Dreamworks.

Whats the Peacock like???
How many bears would a bear Grylles grill, if a bear Grylles could grill bears :O

*shrug* I loved it, thought it was at least as good as the first.

The peacock was a deccent villian, though he kind of channeled Scar (Lion King) a bit at parts. Other than that, I actually liked Gary Oldman's voice acting here, as opposed to the other animated movies I've seen him in. Couldn't stop staring at the character's eyes, thought they looked cool.

I'm hearing that Green Lantern's a really crappy movie...
