the golems eye was the book that most people disliked... i think it was the new charactors. When i re-read that book i found it quite hard to get into it...i think the first time round i was desperate for it...

b.t.w you can say crap... but none of the stronger swear words :P

I liked the characters more in GE and thought they were developed more. For example, Stroud developed Nathaniel by essentially making him degress as a person into Pure Snottiness. And Barty was as interesting as ever.

i know but the snottieness was some thing i would expct maybe in th e third book but not in the second...
yeah, I did NOT like nathaniel in the second book!!!!!!!! he is probably one of the only main charactets in a book that i realy didnt like....
Yea Natty was just..... to into himself, with all the grooming and the cuffs (id love to see those in real life)

Jane Farrar was REALLY nice when she had the Charm/Glamour on.

Barti, you gotta love him

So Nathaniel was snotty. It's different from any other book. It'd be cliche if he turned into a complete goody goody like all of the other fantasy serieses

Nathaniel Djinni
but he is only acting like all magicians do
i wasn t expecting him to mimic them so soon
I wasn't expecting him to change so much either, but I guess in an environment like that you WOULD start to comform to society quite a bit...

...if only there's been more Bartimaeus chapters...but I have to say, my favorite part was the chapters with Barti and Kitty talking. Twas very interesting...yet ANOTHER thing I'm looking forward to seeing in Ptolemy's Gate, more scenes with Barti and Kitty talking to each other...

Barty is my favorite character! I could actually see myself playing him, as that Egyptian boy. I look close enough

I really didnt like Kitty and her story.
'"That's right," I said "Me. What, did you think that I'd be all nice and quiet for you? Think again, sonny. There are two of us in this body now. Check this out."
To prove my point I lifted one of his fingers and methodically picked his nose. He uttered a squawk of protest. "Stop that!"'
I lowered the arm. "That's not all I can do if I put your mind to it"'
