I loved it!! Nat's finally dead!
I thought it was ok....
WHY IS HE DEAD!!!?!?!?!
I've seen better....
I would like it more if Nat didn't die
I HATE IT SO MUCH! IT WAS HORRIBLE!

First off, the ending was brilliant.

Secondly: I'm partial about Nat.
As a character I've come to like him, but still- he's a measly, manipulating little twerp.
Later on he becomes better though, so I don't really know about him...

The best characters in the book are the spirits. Awesome personalities. (E. g. Honorius!)

omg! i felt the same way!!!!! i finished the book yesterday and when i take a glimpse at that book i feel sad once again... ech... i really hoped that Nat would survived...

i think Ptolemy's Gate has the saddest ending i've ever read, its really affected me a lot. thumbs and beer mugs up to Mr Jonathan Stroud for being such a talented writer and a master of fiction.

i did not expect the ending to be like it was, i thought that everything would be ok and a happy ending, but it was not. and i think thats what makes this book so memorable. the sadness of the ending and hope in the new world nathaniel sacrificed himself for to protect.

T-T. dammit. been 4 years since i've read it and i'm still sad over it. i wonder what happens to kitty, to barty. will she summon him in the future? even if she thinks he is dead because she's so sad =(.

a truly brilliant book. thats all i can say.

actually, one thing that i want to know more than what happens to kitty and bartimaeus after at the ending is what barty thought of nathaniel when he released him and the staff broke.

A few days ago I picked it up for the first time in what was probably years, because I wanted to read the musical scene for some reason.

I ended up spending the next couple of hours reading most of the last half.

lol. i've begun to reread the series too, got the audiobooks as well and am currently being drifted off to sleep to the sound of bartimaeus' sarcasm ^^.
