Well I was re-reading The Amulet of Samarkand the other day, and some of the insults just made me laugh! (probably only funny to me though <_<) For example, someone called Nat, "you cheeky fungus!" and, "you dozy fool!" ... I just thought it was funny :lol:

there are lots of funny ones from all three books. i just dont have the books with me right here to find any but one part i remeber was really funny was i the first book where Baritimeaus leanred Nathanials name and Nathanial keeps trying to blast him with spells and they keep deflecting back to him and Barti says "keep going" and you can tell it was meant in a sarcastic way. i laughed during that. i love his sarcastic nature.

OnTopic: When Kavka asks Barti how Trustworthy Nat is in GE, Barti's response is pretty funny.

Honestly, half the book is insults. I don't want to quote all of them...Though almost all are funny.

Though it's techincall not an insult....I love it in PG when Bart considers giving Nat and rude hand gesture but realizes flipping yourself off doesn't really work...

What's a Mary Sue?

I just recently found out. Hmm, there's a link somewhere on here.
Basically your standard annoying spunky girl character.

Kitty's not really a Mary Sue. She's not really popular (there's no other mention of friends other than Jakob.) And she's also made a lot of mistakes. She joins the resistance, which wasn't that noble of an organization. She's afraid to leave the pentacle in PG. She tried to challenge Tallow in GE, and it backfired on her. Her life ambition was to bring down the magicians, but she was making no progress at all in everything she was doing.

But everyone she knows likes her (mostly for no reason)
She's rather self-righteous
She can do magic
She's "special"
I think she's more of a Mary Sue than Ginny
