What's sad is that the Wikipedia article on Harry Potter is longer than the one on Canada.

Sure, but:

1. Canada has been it's own country since 1867
2. Canada isn't fictional

It's sad when a country is thought of as less important than a fictional character.
Not that I don't like Harry Potter, but it doesn't make much sense.

Meh, at least the Canada article is of better quality, as it is a featured article. And it isn't always vandalized with speculation.
