Sorry, but
...WHAT?!
I know he'd lose, but I thought I'd put him in in case of any footstool fans (if there are any). :hmm:

There are tons. ;)
Nice avvie, Nero. But why don't you support the Leafs, Torontonian? At least support the Sens, so you could get lynched by rabid Leaf fans. :D

Bartimaues or the footstool would win. This is how it played out in my mind...

The mercenary runs at Nathaniel, who puts his arms up in terror. He cracks our dearest hero's neck like a toothpick. He then starts towards Bartimaeus, who is throwing Detonations like there's no tommorow. Because of his Resilience, the mercenary is for the most part, unaffected. However, without weapons like the Seven League Boots and silver throwing discrazorthings, he is just muscle, and therefore has no immediate way of harming Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus and the Footstool, now in a more... "graceful" form, kill him eventually. It is then Bartimaues versus the other spirit who wasn't really named (since he is no longer a footstool, I'm not calling him that). Assuming the other demon is a foliot or lower, Bartimaues won't have too much trouble killing it. However, if the spirit is a higher djinni of afrit (I really doubt it's a marid) then it would probably win.

I live in Toronto, so I'm already pressured to change. In Gr. 7, there was a teacher, who tried to convert another teacher, a Leaf fan, to the Boston Bruins. But it was all a gag.

I like the Sens; they and the Canucks are the only Canadian team to not win the cup yet. :P
The Leafs, well...I watch em when I can.
I like Calgary, though Vancouver and them are rivals, and I sorta watch the Oilers...
Montreal's good. But they were stupid to trade Huet.

But one of them should win this year. Ever since stupid Commissioner Gary Bettman came, no Canadian team has won.

Wow Apollo, kinda like your Anime explanation thing...

I go for the FOOTSTOOL!
Voted for Bart--aw, no, I should have voted for the Footstool instead. In terms of endurance, it would win. Bart would just get all tired and, if they were actually fighting on Earth, want to go back to the Other Place.

Um good reasoning & stuff, but the footstool is a footstool. Not a demon taking form.
I supported the Mercenary.

I flicked my tounge in a lefterly direction. "Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird... but somehow I like his style."'

'"That is a footstool. No one's using that pentacle..."'

Oh. I guess you were right. Well then, Bartimaeus would probably somehow eventually find a way to kill the mercenary, after destroying Footstool.
U sure Bartimaeus found find a way to destroy the footstool? Knowing Bartimaeus *shakes head*.
Just kidding. What u say is probable. Still do Bartimaeus attacks not come under weapons?

No, things such as Detonations are a spirits natural ability, as natural as yawning is for us.
Well, then can Nat summon some djinni & use it against Bart? If not, Bart would have an unfair advantage.

Or he could do the old Barty style and blast them all with one spell, as said from Bartimaeus to Ptolemy,

This topic is eating my head. Can Bart use his powers (which can be counted as weapons as Djinn's seldom use weapons)? Can Nat summon a djinni during the fight? If not, how do they fight? With hands?

Yes, Batimaeus can use powers. Yes, Nathaniel could probably summon a demon. Yes, Varroq must use only his body.

Which is a lot better than Nat's demon and Bart's powers.
That sounds a bit messed...
