Bart's final words for Nat

Ptolemy's Gate
Did anyone consider the last paragraph of the book carefully? Bart first calls Nat a typical master. Then regrets he never got a chance to speak to his master & tell him what he thought of him. And then mentions that they were infact, one and the same to all intents and purposes. Did u understand it fully?
And what do u think Bart thought of Nat then?

That's the awesome-almighty-superb glory of Mr. Strouds writing... it doesn't matter. If you wanted Bartimeaus and Nathaniel to stay hostile, it works. If you wanted them to be like Bartimaeus and Ptolemy, it works that way too.

I thought that was one of the best ending books I have read... It didn't just end, but it gave you a peek into Bartimaeus' feelings.

I think that Bart liked Nat. And Nat should have lived. And it was a bad ending because it made me cry and broke my heart and now I am scarred for life.

So not Queezle.
Look, Queezle.

Yes.
So?

You stay on these forums for a few days, let alone months, and you'll be scarred for life too.
I wish I were a cat-dragon
I cried too... It was the best ending I could think of.

Sure it's sad...but it's also fiction...c'mon.

Whatever, fiction is my reality. People often see me yelling at a book because a charecter is being dumb. A typical Self/book conversation:"You idiot! I mean I knew you were dense but this is like...Arrhhg! You are soooooo dumb."
Yes I yell at books, it's kind of okay though, some guys yell at TV football.

Great ending, and yeah, I think he ended up maybe not liking nathaniel, but at least finally respecting him, either for bravery (which he said was stupid anyways) or the fact that he's (nat) gotten better than when bart first met him.

I didn't cry, but I don't have a heart of stone. If I did, I'd rip it out and bludgeon my enemies to death.

Generally hearts are considered to be instrumental to the functions of the body, so it seems that using it as a weapon would be just as detrimental to yourself as it would be to your enemies.
Of course, perhaps it works differently for those with hearts of stone.
Look, Queezle.
Oooookay? Anyways, I didn't cry, but I was really sad. Now if Barti had died . . .
