It?
I wish I were a cat-dragon

It even said so in the book.rubberchickenben wrote: Can't you see that if Nat wore the Amulet, It would have sucked some of the staff's power, therefore not killing Nouda.
That's wrong. The amulet would not have sucked the staff's power as the staff would not be directed at Nat. Also from the extract:-Nero wrote:It even said so in the book.rubberchickenben wrote: Can't you see that if Nat wore the Amulet, It would have sucked some of the staff's power, therefore not killing Nouda.
I already wrote abt the glass & iron.nathanielandbartimaeus wrote: It would have been better in the end for Nat & Kitty to exchange their possesions. Nat should have worn the necklace & Kitty the 7 league boot. Kitty than could have easily & quickly escaped & Nat would have been protected from the staff's wrath. Hey, I forgot the glass & iron! Nat could'nt have escaped that. What a waste of time typing this post.
Ok technically it wasn't directed at him but still he was holding the staff so if it exploded it still would have hit him. think of it this way. If you are holding a live grenade and your trying to blow someone up who is right in front of you if you just hold on to it the its gonna hit you too.nathanielandbartimaeus wrote:That's wrong. 'Because', Bartimaeus's voice broke in, 'it's so a powerful charm. It might absorb too much of the staff's energy & enable Nouda to escape. The best thing you can do is to take it, and wear it, and go now.' His voice echoed silently in Nathaniel's head. How's that?
Not bad.
This clearly shows that Bart lied so as to make Kitty wear the amulet. He obviously wanted Kitty safe & knew she had little knowledge of the staff & amulet. Hence this lie to protect her.

Still Nat would'nt have survived. The whole building collapsed on him.Cormocodran wrote:Ok technically it wasn't directed at him but still he was holding the staff so if it exploded it still would have hit him. think of it this way.
