I really don't think she is.

I wonder if there will ever be a LOTR game for the Wii.

The sensor thingy is a RPG nerd's dream. Now he can swing a sword for real...

And basically anyone else's dream.

I mean, how cool is it to be able to "play" tennis with a "racket"?

Less cool than gunning down hapless Citizens with a 'AK'?

Problem with the Wiimote for swords is there's no feedback, so enemies can't block you.
What they really need to put in are those weighted motors that can simulate force in any direction.

That would make the Wii really expensive. They're probably going to make a second one, years from now.

Of course they will.

Gaming always improves.

Well, tries too anyway.

I am getting a Wii but everywhere I have went they are sold out, so I have to get on a waiting list. Everyone in the stores are saving them for friends and that so I can never get one... and when they get shipped to the stores they only get one box that consists of 3 Wii's. It really sucks, but I have played my brothers friends and it is so much fun.

The Wii's been fantastically popular. You'll be waiting a while yet to get one if you've only just put your name down.

They are available on eBay, though, and often for not much more than the retail price.

Say that about the PS3. On uPay, PS3s are super expensive. Don't know exactly how much.

The PS3 is super expensive at retail prices, never mind eBay prices.

But it has so many bugs...the wireless controlers will randomly disconnect for five minute periods after like an hour of gameplay. Then again...who's playing for 1 straight hour?

On Sundays? Me, me, me.

Besides, there'll be bugfixes soon. Still, is the 600 pounds really justifiable?

Wii appeals to all ages hence the reason it's doing so well. PS3 and 360 are aimed at a more mature audience hence not doing so well. 360 and PS3 with games like Resistance: Fall Of man and Crackdown are bloody and have lots of violence. High rating, so no kids play those games, so kids don't buy those consoles. Hey, look it's a family console with little hedgehog games and ninja ones too! No violence really, so where do you think the public's gonna go to play games? Obviously the console that doesn't promote violence or super police teams or whatever the hell else. PS3's too expensive for me and 360's fine. Both too expensive though.

The wii is graphically way inferior to the PS3. Yes, it's cute, but the PS3 is the true gaming console.

Well, Microsoft's middle ground with the Xbox looks to win at any rate.

But the innovative gameplay of the Wii is fantastic and that is making it do so well.

The true gaming console is the PC. The PS3 is trying to do the same thing the Phantom tried, and look what happened to that. The more the consoles try to imitate the PC the more people give up on them and go for the PC.
Hence the Wii's success - it's a completely different style which none of the other games platforms have really tried.

what is a pound campared to a dollar?

The only good thing I see about the PS3 is the sweet graphics. Other than that it really isn't all that great. X-box controlers are way to big, they need to be a more comfortable size

$2 to £1 at the moment, but for electronics prices you pay almost $1 for £1. Yep, that's right, Brits pay almost twice as much for electronics.

Pfft, PS3 graphics are at least equalled by DX10 games on the PC.
