I'd take an alliterative name, like all the cool people in the comics do. Hell I already got one right now, it's Jaimie Jonah. JT Jonah. See, I'm already on my way to being a really awful at their job magician.

I don't know, is it considered classy if a female magician has one of those long stylin' beards?

Well, apparently magicians love to watch hairy females dance, so why not?

My female status wouldn't stop me from trying to grow a beard. It's my hair. *shrugs*

I found it with a wee bit help from my friend google images, but i found a volume right here
