Matthias Riddle.

Taking a bit from two great book series, to make a name for another great book series...
A dozen more questions occurred to me*.

*Not to mention 22 possible solutions to each one, 16 resulting hypotheses and counter-theorems, 8 abstract speculations, a quadrilateral equation, 2 axioms, and a limerick. That's raw intelligence for you.

The Riddle part is from 'Tom Riddle' from Harry Potter, right?

Indeed. Also, "Matthias" is from the series Redwall.

No, rather I actually really enjoy riddles, and the name was a happy coincidence that I noticed and just went with.

I'd go with

Grey Quickknife

Alex Fox

or Ivan Spiorad (Spiorid is Spirit in Irish, I'm Irish. Ivan just sounds cool.)
My username's pronounced Gran-ar-kid. Cheers to all who read this. Find me on Minecraft, Battle Dawn, Tremulous, Quizilla, and probably some other stuff I forgot about.

I think if was to made one up, I would go for Isilya Gryffindor!! :new:
Oh gosh, I'd have to have either a really long name or a series of names.

Surnames:

Ezekiel

Kalleth

Callum

Bartimaeus (Not a word!)

Last names:

Fire-Mane

Thunder-Roar

Breeze-Dane

Dark-Dawn

Yes, I have an affinity for elements and hyphens, don't judge me.
What about.. Chuck Norris!!! :P

Hmm... This is tough. I'd have to say I would go with Mara Karimi. It's not plain, everyday and boring, nor is it ridiculous, grandiose, and nearly impossible to say on your first try. Plus, I like the way the name rolls off my tongue.
I have no idea... it would be easier if i was female. If i was maybe Cortana or Serena.
I have thought very long and hard about this (not really), and I think I have an answer.

Speaking of this naming business, I wonder how often magicians accidently choose their Real name? I mean all it takes is the first name, and a lot of the Fake names are pretty normal. John is about as average a name as Nathaniel, I think. And if their real name gets deleted from files and everyone is supposed to forget it, how do they know that the name they choose Isn't their real name?

A very bad situation for that unfortunate magician. "I choose the same Smith! I like it, it sounds so right and familiar..."

It sounds rather...exotic, perhaps? It means "Tears of Sadness" in Latin. :D
