To Mock a Killingbird.

Check out way time goes in Angels and Demons. They fly at a good Mach 15.

I'm reading Wicked. I had to read To Kill a Mockingbird. It was pretty good but I never finished it. I love how all of you like to read. None of my friends at school do that much. (Unless you count one of them who's obessed with Harry Potter.) That's awersome. :cookie: :cookie:

P.S. Harry Potter isn't that bad, but there's better.

I don't understand how rubbish becomes so popular...maybe it's the stupid fundamentalists who always do crap like boycott books like Harry Potter and in turn make them more famous.

No. The sheer power of advertesement.

It's a chain reaction: Book I came out, somewhat popular.

Book II, the people who read Book I bought it, telling more people that it was good. and more people bought.

By book three, it started having those good sales.

By book IV, it was a Phenomenon

I know, but how did it become somewhat popular in the first place? It's mediocre.

Like I said: Chain reaction. It was a success because it has seven books. If it had been a trilogy....

I just find it a little odd because everyone I know likes Harry Potter, and those who don't don't read books period. (Unless they HAVE to.)

Edit: And most of the time, those people like the movie.

but i am sure there are people who hate the Bartimaeus Trilogy and there might even be 'hate Barti clubs' but we like the books. I don't see what was so bad about the HP yes they weren't written as well as many other books and yes she might have taken many ideas from other books but when i first read them i really liked them and it was only when i grew older and had read more material that i began to realise she had taken ideas and that they weren't as well written. Also what age does she aim the books at beczuse i think it is for the younger people and as so many liked them adults read them and so an adult cover was made but the material still isn't aimed at adults and therefore many people don't like them now, but i bet kids who read them do.

Yes, it's for the 10-13 year old category. But it's extremly annoyinh when a 16 year old goes on and on for thirty minutes on the virtues of Harry Potter...

And no. No Hate Bartimaeus clubs exist. And for some reason the people who didn't like Bartimaeus also happen to be Harry Potter Fans....

Eragon fans far surpass Harry Potter fans in idiocy...basically because they're desperate enough to have nothing to back them up so they resort to just saying 'I love the way he writes' and do not acknowledge the facts. Everyone can't have good taste in books. Because my taste is supreme. If you disagree, then you are not supreme.

Like taco supremes, those things are awesome.

Yeah, I need some new books. What's the next book after Shadow of the Hegemon?

Right.... you're an Enid Blyton fan aren't you?

Eragon is not the greatest book in the world but its alright.
Harry Potter is pretty bad. there are so many mistake and thing that dont add up and that annoys the hell out of me. but ive still read them all. i really need new books to read.
by the time you've finished reading this you will realise you have just wasted 5 seconds of your life
Hate gets you no where. A book is made to enjoy, if you don't like it then don't read it. To post about it to tell people how much you hate it only pisses another person off, so why do it? Do you get plesure out of pissing somone off? Does it make you feel high and mighty? I mean really people...anyway I'm finishing the 3rd Book of the triology now. Then i gotta read Pursuit which is a book that sounded intresting *not fantasy* by the way i read all three, Hp, Eragon and BT and there all very good, stop complaing, none are better then the othere.

That's pretty much why I still read Harry Potter. I started the series, and everyone else is still reading it, and funny though it is watching everyone else stop their conversations when you come near, it's easier just to spend a couple of hours to actually read it.
