As the title asks, what book(s) are you reading at the present time? Is it your first time reading it or an old favorite? Do you like it so far or will you not bother finishing it?

At the moment I'm rereading the Voyage mini-series of the Shannara collection by Terry Brooks; just started Ilse Witch.

Hyperion by Dan Simmons, but I haven't had much time because I was forced to read 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. :\

The three ships. Kinda like the Mayflower and all those.

I assume "To Kill a Mockingbird" was for some kind of assignment?

It's actually a pretty good book, especially compared to what they normally make you read.

That John Steinbeck is lucky he's dead, otherwise I'd probably kill him for what he put me through in school.

I suspect that if we were forced to read and analyse every word in the Bartimaeus Trilogy, it would seem a lot worse than it actually is.

Right now I'm reading Time for a Change by Richard Bandler. The last fiction I read was Krim's work in progress. Next thing on my list is re-reading the Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan.

Da Vinci Code wasn't as good as Angels and Demons.

They aren't brilliant books, but some of them aren't bad.

The Black Magician trilogy is good. Did you order any of her other books, Nate?

My Goal in Life: To avoid reading Lord of the Flies until I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO.
well i started reading Lord of the Flies last year but i gave up after like 20 pages.

I really don't see what the big deal is about Lord of the Flies. People go on and on about how it's a classic book and everyone should read it and blah blah blah, but it isn't actually anything special. Bit boring.

It isn't crap. Sure, it isn't quite in the same league as Barti etc, but it isn't a bad book.

That's just unfair.
Harry Potter is a disgrace to fantasy, but I have to read it, because everyone else talks about it *sigh*.
