The Last Lecture - Randy Pausch.
A good and inspiring book. Still reading it.
Oh, BTW, the video of the professor's last lecture is there on youtube. It is a real story of a computer scientist who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and who was asked to deliver a lecture in a university.

Jumped into Wuthering Heights and almost finishing it.

What was Isabella Marie Swan on when she "thought" Romeo & Juliet and Wuthering Heights etc. etc. was romantic?!
D'you think Kitty likes Hello Kitty?
Finished PG. For the fifth time.
And cried. For the Fifth time. Damnit, Nathaniel...
Anyways, started with Hypnotisören ~ Lars Kepler.

I'm going to get Ring of Solomon on Monday! It released here! I went to a bookshop today and asked them to again check their other branches in the city (I had asked them this only 3 days ago, but it wasn't available then). They said 15 copies were available in one branch. So I told them to deliver it to my place and they said they would do it on Monday! And I think it is cool I'm getting it on Monday only and not before. 'Cause I have to complete my journal by then, type 2 long emails and complete all my vacation HW. In 3 days. if I had RoS now with me, I wouldn't do anything.
Anyway, YAY!!! Change it to released Gladstone!

That is a cool banner there!

Emethyst, I suggest you go and bug all the bookshop managers in your city. Ask them to check every branch and give them your number and tell them to call you up when they come to know about the book. I think it might have released somewhere there too.

Heh, I've been reading that on and off lately. About a third of the way in, I think.

I just started reading it and I've not even completed one chapter. But I like that he is writing from a completely layman's point of view and that he wrote the book to understand science. But some of his things (like his amazement over some things and his thoughts on scientific notations) made me smile.

me too, just now! but the tearjerker for me was his rejection by the art teacher. I see where she was coming from but it was still way too harsh, it was uncalled for.

I'm also rethinking the John/Jane ship, Farrar was a desperate bitch even after cutting her some slack for being raised by Duvall.

Good idea that.
Support Nathaniel/Kitty!

In my opinion, John Mandrake deserved it. But aww poor Nathaniel.
The tearjerkers for me were Nat's and Ptolemy's deaths. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Come to the dark slash side
And yet, I can almost understand her. I mean, being raised by Duvall... :-/ :-/ . She's not so different from other magicians. It's just that she's one of the few powerful female magicians, and that's why she seems to use bitchy techniques in order to obtain power.
I still hate her, tho.
Wait.
WAIT THERE.
Are you really giving up on J/J? :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Fyrmästarens Dotter ~ Ann Rosman
"When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome instead. True story".
I haven't got my RoS copy yet. It is so annoying! My book has already been dispatched by courier but the courier hasn't delivered it yet. ;_;

But without it John would never break back into Nathaniel.

It's more a shame we didn't know what happened to his teacher. But I suppose it's better.

Don't get excited, I might suggest that we tone it down at a board meeting, but j/j is as convoluted as a per-nouda gov't. It could take years for the motion to be passed.

Nat's death is like a tearjerker when you think back on it, because when I'm reading, I'm so touched by his noble sacrifice. And then later when I'm reflecting, I realize poor Nat didn't even have a chance at enjoying his life.

I'm audio booking RoS, because the book was getting difficult to carry around and it's so funny it's dangerous for my health. Like last night, I was in a dark parking garage, laughing at a joke and pretending to cover it up with a yawn and some creepy old man with a cane who looked like Pennyfeather was like "don't hide it, you have a beautiful smile" and I had to run away. I'm not exaggerating, some guy followed my friend to work and stayed there for 4 hours, he was a creeper but if I die, i die with a Ros in my heart. /coolstorybro

I'm reading Harry Potter 7 ~ JK Rowling. Before I watch the film.

Oh holy crap. How creepy :-/

Guess which book is listed as "in catalouging" at my library. :D

Took a much shorter time than freaking Scott Pilgrim.

Reading:

Side Jobs - Jim Butcher

One Piece V. 1 - too lazy to look up the writer even though the book is probably ten feet away
