That's awesome, happy reading! :)
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.

Would it be an advance copy if it wasn't early?

(My advance copy is sat on my desk next to me. Still haven't got as far as putting it on the bookshelf after reading it.)

You could post me the copy, you know. But seeing that you are too lazy to even put back...

I hope we had something to discuss about the book. Wonder if JS would start giving us hints..?

I agree thats one of the most fun parts about new books. The facebook page said they will be posting exclusive excerpts.
And Ill probably carry my book around with me everywhere rereading the bits I like.

Yes, I am going to sulk...
Well, at least you GET IT!! I can't even be sure about that in Spain.
In 22 days you'll have RoS. You lucky British b**tards.

True, we still get solomon first.

It's just so annoying when british things come out in america first. cause we never get it for american stuff.

as well as now I'm thinking of buying it off the net. which would be fine except it wouldn't be like city of glass, it might be written in american english because it would be the american copy which would annoy me to no end....*sigh*.

Why did the yanks have to be smart and come up with there own words for stuff? honestly, the aussies never gave us these problems

Have you ever spoken to an Australian? Believe me, the first time one talks about thongs there will be much confusion.

I saw an epic stand up comedy piece on thongs.

American Man: "You wear thongs?"

Australian Man: "Yeah."

American Man: "Why?"

Australian Man: "...Cause they're comfortable to wear?"

Please remember that the Independence War ended over two centuries ago, do not fight over a publication date. Think of all the poor fans all over the world who do not even get a chance to read the novel until it has been translated! True, I may read the American version, but most people in Italy will have to wait for at least a few more months.

And after all, I've always been suspicious when people are so eager to read a new book. I mean, it is the effect of advertising. When I read that there was an incredibly long queue in front of some bookstores in England when a new Harry Potter book came out hours before the opening time, I felt that the human kind is really bizarre.

Waiting makes the pleasure of having something grow. Let's put it philosophically.
