I actually think these books are quite good, if a bit full of unnecessary description. I don't like Roran and Katrina's side-story that much, but Roran on his own is bearable. I'm completely with you about Arya, DC, she's incredibly annoying.
Bartimaeus: It won't be the only mad thing about if you let this lot go. Check out that one at the end. He's taken the form of a footstool. Weird...but somehow I like his style.
Nathaniel: That is a footstool. No one's using that Pentacle.

Arya is bearable compared to Eragon. I really hate Eragon. His characterization is so bad!

But Arya at least has a mind of her own and sticks to her decisions. And she has common sense, something completely lacking in Eragon.

I liked them. The books I mean. Im not looking forward to the fourth though. I liked Roran and the spirits and Saphira. Arya is to typical, from her very first chapter.

I got sick of Roran in the third. Kills 200 men? And beats Urgals every time? Gah. He should make it more realistic.
And I find Saphira highly annoying too.

I completely agree with you about Roran, but Saphira really isn't that bad. She can be rather sweet at times, I think. :)

The fourth book is called Inheritance. And it releases on November 8th this year.

Well it's about time! I thought he'd stopped writing the books, simply because of the time it was taking. Then again, it's a gigantic task to write books of that size, so I guess it's understandable.

For those who don't understand this statement (*cough*cough*David*cough*), if he cut out all the extreme detail that-tries-to-resemble-Tolkien-but-epically-fails-in-this-aspect-as-well-as-the-terrible-flow-of-prose it would be at a much more acceptable length.

At least, that's how I interpreted it.
