After actually having skimmed the last couple hundred pages last week (my brother was rereading them and I wanted to procrastinate, okay) I'm impressed that Paolini didn't go with the perfect happy ending I was expecting him to. He still has a long way to go before I considered him a halfway decent writer, but baby steps.

On another note, that is a fantastic picture and I am stealing it for future use. In exchange, here's an eagle.

Yeah, that sounds like the beginning of a good story.

Sorry to necro this thing, but I thought I'd share with you guys something I found the other day going through old school stuff:

It's one of those old book orders I used to get at my school. This one's from 2004. Here's a closeup, take a look at the white speech bubble:

:D Hahaha, if they only knew...

They're both really good. I don't see the problem here.

/facepalm

Regardless of Captain Fanboy's opinions other there, the style of writing, the story, the themes, the setting, the characters - are all completely different from Eragon.

lol I remember Scholastic!
We used to also get those Scholastic book orders in school. :D

<@Ximenez> Sentynel: But i have a life? No. Qed.
We also had them in my school c:

I read 3 books of this series, and honestly, I didn't like them. They were purple, Eragon had no personality, everything was too convenient, etc etc.
Wow those things were everywhere.

I'll, thanks for the invitation
And I've read worse books. Like Twilight and Halo. Oh, God, those 'books'...
But yeah I didn't like Eragon, but got no real problem, unlike with other series.

I love that series.
This seemed to be a while ago.
Oh. 2013.

Well, I dunno about eragon, it just was sort of flat and pointless with too many cliches.
I liked it while I read the series, fortunately that lasted only for four days, then I came to my senses
