Different publisher. They can't agree on using a single cover, so they make their own.

Well, you could have more subdued colours, and the images could be more real-looking than arty, but otherwise be the same - ie you'd have a slightly red (or even grey) lion for the cover of Ptolemy's Gate, holding an amulet.

the covers i have (i live in New Zealand) are like the pictures in Nathaniel's sig except without the pentacles. i think they're better looking than the one where bart is blue and holing the amulet and looking all creepy
