He's right, regardless.
I think the whole pausing the movie for footnotes would only work for a few humorous times, any more and it gets repetitive and screws up the flow of the movie.

yes, maybe, unless they actually showed what he was talking about like i said before. e.g while he's talking about it, show the city of atlantis being destroyed. that would be cool, yeah?

Yes, but would take to long and disrupt the flow of the movie.
Remember, this is Hollywood we're talking about here :P
Not History Channel.
I'd prefer more of a brief version of what's in the book, by Bartimaeus.
Breaking the 4th wall, but w.e.

I dunno, it could have been a factor, right? Twilight & Quantum of Solace? I read they were planning to postpone the latter as they feared it would lose out to HP. But as HP got postponed....
There was another rumour( I'll call it that), that Dan's role in Eqqus(spg?) could affect Harry's virgin status or something along those lines. But Eqqus released ages ago, right? I guess the papers were publishing crap as usual :D .

i guess so . . . as long as they do the rest of the movie well. or we could have another Eragon on our hands.

Or worse. But you know the worst effect of the Eragon movie? Non-readers found it really good. They esp. liked the Arya-Eragon thing.... I hated it! They made it seem like Arya was pining for Eragon or something!

I haven't heard of a single person who liked that travesty, whether or not they've read the book..

I haven't even read the book. I was just using the "we could have another Eragon on our hands" expression assuming that all of you would get my meaning. I didn't realise that anyone actually liked that movie. I didn't.

My sisters friends really liked it. It was they who recommended my sister & me to go to the movie.

Cornered!

Consider, N&B, that your answer can produce negative consequences.
I HATED it! I have mentioned that elsewhere in the forum, but not here. I pretty much strangled my sister's friends for making me waste 120 bucks on that on that idiotic movie(though I might have gone to see it otherwise too, out of pure curiosity). For the life of me, I don't know how they enjoyed the movie. Even for non-readers it ought to be quite horrible. But no!

Maybe it's more tolerable for a younger audience, who haven't read the Bartimaeus Trilogy and don't know what a plot is . . .

Happy 1,000, N&B.
My dad liked it, and hadn't read it.
Feh.

Is the Eragon BOOK actually worth a read or what?

That was sad.

And it's worth reading so you can bash it along me, Apollo, Sentynel, Post etc...

What? Those quotes were in a totally random order - and therefore didn't make any sense.
