Who's Simon Pegg?

Too old, and he's already been typecast as the innocent young hero. Nat's anything but - that's the whole arc of the trilogy. They need to find someone that's able to portray naivete and ambition alternately, and hopefully someone that will grow with the role.

yeah, that's the one i mentioned above who played charlie bucket. i don't really mind though, just as long as he can act. an unknown would be good, even stroud said that.

I love the books!
And if there is ever a film made, I agree there has to alot of hard work put into it to do justice to the books
Also i agree that the main actoers should be unknowns, if they are already known from a different movie then it will make people who havent read the books think of the characters differently.
Does anyone knows where i can get info on stuff like if there is any auditions for the actors because i would like to go.

Sorry, I don't know. To be quite honest, I think that's going a bit too high. Unless you have a lot of experience and you're really confident.
And I doubt they'll be holding any auditions soon. Where do you live? They might go for only popular cities.

Just the other day when I went to the movies with my friends, I saw this booth outside that were offering free auditions for models, singers, and I think actors, too...I don't know. Didn't have enough time to find out more.
