I regret to inform you, that on February 15th, I shall be leaving for two days to sleep at a sleep clinic and won't have interent access. Or even a computer.

*Pauses and hears people cheering in the background.*

Wish me luck!
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Well, you still have about 2 weeks of internet time, and two days really isn't that long of a time without internet.

Lucky.

I didn't have internet for 9 months. You will survive this 2 days. ;)

This year was the first year I ever used the internet, besides for research papers in school starting 3 years ago.

You go, and they monitor how your body works as you sleep.

I have trouble getting to sleep.
I can sleep through a smoke alarm (That's right outside my bedroom.) but will wake up in the middle of the night for no reason, and won't be able to get back to sleep.
I snore. (Not too badly, though.)
I have very vivid nightmares. (I've died about twenty times.)
A couple of times I couldn't remember if I dreamed something (A conversation with my friend.) or if it was real. THAT'S how annoying my nightmares are.

The doctor is very interested in me because of my body temperature. The avarage person's body temperature is 98.6, mine is 99.9. I spike extremely high fevers, but have never gone into convulsions or had to go to the hospital because of them, even though a normal person would have had to.

My record is 106.8. :D

Normally I only go up to around 105.5. It get's me into clinics very quickly.

Anyway, apparently they also test me while I'm awake. They're also going to try to make me fall asleep for twenty minutes every couple of hours.

I get to use their phone (long-distance, too.) for a bit, so I'll call you Athena!
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

I win. My highest temperature was 107.5 or thereabouts (according to a google calculator conversion from celcius). Oddly enough, I felt completely fine at the time.
My regular temperature is normal, though - 98.6.

I used to have sleep problems like that - couldn't get to sleep for hours, could sleep through earthquakes (yeah, really, and worse), would randomly wake up, etc. I also had nightmares - lots of them. I hated sleeping because of them.
Long story short, I fixed it by teaching myself to recognise nightmares as nightmares. Initially I'd just deliberately wake myself up to avoid them, but now I can take control. Fun.
About the only thing that didn't fix was being unable to get up in the mornings - given the chance I'll sleep til 12 or later, even if I wasn't tired and got to bed early.

Have you ever had a dream that seemed real, but wasn't?

"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."

I do all the time.

Let's go through the list here...

1. I can get half an hour of sleep and still be VERY hyper if I don't take a caffene pill
2. If I get a full 8 hours of sleep and am woken up by an alarm clock, I always feel drowsy
3. I wake up in the middle of the night for no reason and can't get back to sleep
4. I hardly ever dream, and when I do it's usually a bad nghtmare that keeps me up for two days
5. I have this weird little tingly feeling in my left eye (Around it) that comes around for no reason
6. Horrible blackouts randomly
7. Even when I want to I can't fall asleep.

Ah the wonderful symptoms of a cyst on the pineal gland...

What was it in celcius Sent?

I think (techinically) I still win, I hit at least 105 every time, usually above 106.

Sometimes I have trouble remembering if something was real, or just a dream. I ask my friends if we really talked about whatever it was, and half the time we didn't.

I usel sorts of nightmare-controlling techniques, but my nightmares work against me.

For example: Being shot at. I put a shelter around myself. (To combat the dream.) The dream works against me, by contracting my shelter until I suffocate.

I hate dreaming. It sucks, some of the time I know it's a nightmare, but it still hurts.

I can dream about something happening (small, like a talk with a friend), and eventually it comes true.
