Sweet Dreams

I'm really losing control now. Whatever sleep I'm getting isn't helping, I'm always exhausted by my damn dreams when I wake up.
I can sense auras, and yes it does count for something.

Your subconscious is telling you something important. If you remember them, write them all down, and send them to me. I will analize them.

And I was serious about the blueberry hell, you know.

I dream of something, forget when I wake up, and then when it happens I remember that I dreamt it. Kinda like deja vu.

Meh.
I don't believe in telepathic/psychic abilities, preminitions, etc.
Or ghosts.
Or aliens.
Or blueberries.

Out of interest, Artemis, what kind of synaesthete are you?

Actually there is only one type.

If you're asking which of my senses are "connected" then here's the list.

1. Letters and numbers have specific colours and genders.
2. Music/any other sounds have colour, occcasionally a taste or smell as well.
3. Pain has colour.
4. Taste/smells have colour although it isn't as strong as with the others.
5. Like most synaesthetes, I have always dreampt in colour and known that I dreampt in colour.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Like the cult where the guy claimed to be Jesus Chridt and got a bunch of followers to come with him to some place in South America where he killed himself and them all with poisned Kool Aid(Oh YEAH!)? Or a different cult like the one from that really good C.S.I. episode.

That's what I meant, yeah.

Out of interest, are the colours here about right?

(There's no k because apparently it wasn't associated with a colour)

wow.
I think I might be a syna...somethingorother... too.

certain letters always make me think of certain colours. (A=red B=green C=yellow D=black E=light blue F=dark green G=yellowy-orange etc)

and I've always dreampt in colour. Do some people not dream in colour?

People sometimes associate colours with numbers. For instance I generally think of 2 as yellow or a 5 as red. That doesn't make me a synaesthete. Some synaesthetes don't dream in colour, which is what Artemis meant.

Nor sparing wit nor learning.
Now, if you'd know the reason why,

oh okay

yeah, I just read about it on wikipedia, and I'm definately not one

That would be so cool though, all your reading and stuff could be in colour.

Back on topic for a moment, last night I had a really strange nightmare. Strange not in that it was really that weird, just in that usually I'm not ever in my dreams, just someone watching them. This time I was part of the dream. I think I've had this dream several times before because it was familiar to me, but I always forget about it in the morning. It's really freaking me out and now that I think about it I've been having it for like the last couple of weeks.

Mild synaesthesia is apparently very common - seeing letters as colours for example. It's just what most people would think of when you say synaesthesia - ie, seeing sounds, whatever - that's a lot rarer.

Hrm, about half right then... interesting that there's any sort of pattern in letter colours.

Holy Cabbage!

I've just had to take my keyboard back from E and Athena.

Athy thought it would be a good idea to write Sent a love note in my name while I was in the washroom.

What pattern are you referring to?
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

That there's any degree of pattern in how different synaesthetes see colours on letters - why should there be, if you think about it?

I just realized that I forgot a few.

M: Reddish-Brown Female
N: Brown Male
O: Dark Blue Male

There isn't really a pattern. I don't see an after-shadow like the other does, it's simply coincidental.

The only pattern found is that fifty percent of synaesthetes see the letter "O" as white, and the other fifty percent see it as another colour. A, B, and C are generally red, blue and yellow, and 0 and 1 are generally black and white.

There's only about five letters on that other diagram that slightly resemble mine. We synaesthetes are very picky about finding the right shades.
