Anyway, this is awfully bad that Chelsea had to lose to Birmingham. Still they are top but I fear Man U would win it. Man U always play well towards the end of any tournament.

I don't know anything about soccer, but football season's not looking too good this year. The Jets are getting dangerously good and the Chargers are stinking. I mean, how does a 12-0 streak team go to a 4-5 team? I BLAME AJ NORV!!

Edit: I'm not as emotionally invested in american football, but Chad Ochocinco from the Cincinnati Bengals is hilarious. He rescued a pigeon and he thought it was pregnant because it looked bloated.

Actually, I used to care a lot more. I used to watch football matches (involving Chelsea mainly; I always liked the team) at 3-4 am and with school the next day. And ditto with cricket (India mostly; my cousin used to watch even Canadian team play cricket. I bet y'all didn't know a Canadian team existed =p) and tennis (I've missed an exam to watch Federer play, much to the displeasure of my parents). But since I joined college, I've stopped a lot of it. Usually, I don't have the time to watch more than a couple of matches a week. So I read it in the newspapers. Also, the Asian Games is going on now, so I have to watch it too. I'm mostly watching boxing, field hockey and gymnastics.

Football clubs are rather famous here (though sadly, most people love Man U). They have celebration parties after their teams win. They go and party into the night. My sister's friend does it often.

Ignoring the obvious sports haters, I'm not quite sure why the Permiership is so popular. It's actually not very highly viewed here in Canada. If our population does start to like soccer, it'll start with our MLS teams first.

And it's a pity none of you watch CFL.

My friend was in Lebanon during FIFA World Cup and she said the parties there were so amazing. And apparently, when Spain won, everyone ran to the roof and and the people who were supporting Spain did like a 21 gun salute because they were sp happy and everyone else just shot randomly. That's dedication.

Russia got FIFA 2018 and Qatar's doing 2022. At first I was really disappointed that USA didn't win the bid, but there's so many flat out racist/ignorant comments about Qatar, it'll be good for them to get some publicity.
