Not really.
Though, in a way, I was hoping the Games would get cancelled so that the people get more angry (so many crores lost) and the government is forced to take very strong actions against the organizers. But, looks like the government would typically, in the very last minute, save the Games. Apparently, some of the things build are really good and state-of-art and stuff, but I really hope the media (especially) doesn't forget all this nonsense that is going on here now. They are doing a pretty good job now; the pressure they have put on the government now is tremendous.

My computer is malfunctioning!

Pfft, Chelsea>Liverpool any day.

And, a couple of Commonwealth Games news:
I think one of the reasons everything got delayed was because people fell in luurve =D.
All is not bad for the Games.

Apparently, all the venues and the Games village (now cleaned) are world-class and "excellent".

xD!

Gosh, that reminds me that I got to check if The Onion has got something on it. I love such hilarious news!
Though yeah, did y'all hear that a part of the ceiling of the UN fell too? Though, to be honest, the few tiles which fell of the false ceiling in the stadium in Delhi could have have been due to a number of factors (like heavy rains, cable weight, some walking on it etc.) and not necessarily corruption.

Now the Supreme Court is furious with the government.
As far as the media and the people choose not to forget and forgive (however successfully the Games are held now) and continuously pressurize the government, such things will keep happening. Because the government is too thick-skinned to care otherwise. You need to show them that you will not stand for it at any rate.

YEAH. LIVERPOOL
You like Liverpool best too?
But thankfully, there are no Man U fans out here. Most of my friends over here seem to be Man U or Arsenal fans.

As Prince Charles comes calling, athletes give thumbs up to the village
Well, glad they are having a good time there. I honestly thought they wouldn't. Like a week ago.

Delhi is a fortress, pretty much
It is a pity that the Games have to be held in such conditions. It would be so much more fun if the athletes and everyone could do as they liked and mingle with everyone.

Today is the opening ceremony. There is a $10 million helium balloon used in it. Wonder what they are going to do with it.

If you don't know what team to choose, check this out

Edit: Link ~~so you don't go blind

Also liverpool is finally sorting out their lack of owners so i don't think they'll be penalized!! I was hoping Kanye would buy us because Jay-Z's buying into Arsenal, but alas it was not meant to be. =[
Yeah, I think Liverpool would be fine, but I'm not really fussed.

And yes, India come second in medal tally!
For the first time, we beat England (it was so close, it all depended on just winning that one extra gold) and Canada!

Media reporting of the Games
I think the Indian media did it okay. About this:
wrote:"We would never run down our country the way the Indian media does. It is bold actually, to say everything so openly and point out the shortcomings but a series of negative reporting by the home media puts a bad image outside," she said.
The Indian media was mainly thrashing the government only before the Games; that was fully well-deserved. If you can't get things ready on time (so much so that the athletes had to delay their arrival) and a bridge collapses; something was definitely going wrong. And there is corruption (something the media is still harping about and rightly so). But the foreign media (especially the Western media) reporting was completely biased. Once the games started, they just kept going on about some small glitches which occur in every event. And they never even bothered to correct their assumptions. Like how the pools were tested and found to be very safe (the swimmers themselves think they got the flu during their practise sessions in Malaysia) and about a scoreboard falling (dude, someone didn't fix the scoreboard properly with screws, that's it) and blaming lack of interest amongst spectators for some empty stands (which was due to the website crashing and that people had to fill forms and show their ID cards and other nonsense to buy tickets for "security" reasons).

There's soo much drama, they're in court rn and apparently the owners got some judge in Texas to interfere with the sale of LFC. If they hadn't found someone to pay the bills, we're would have lost 9 points, and we don't even have 9 points to lose.

I like Arsenal because they're actually not in debt. Even Man Utd owners are screwing them over with accumulated interest 'cos they don't want to pay.

Edit: Apparently H&G are now in court trying to say that Liverpool is contempt of US court! This is honestly now more entertaining then the actual games. They're just trying to stall until tomorrow, the deadline, because noone's going to buy LFC if they're in negative points, hopefully it gets sorted soon because I have class :'(

I know. :'(
On the aftermath of Paul's death:
1) The Spanish government has demanded an autopsy before his funeral. A Dutch hand, if proven, can well trigger WW III.
2) Germany and Netherlands have already challenged Spain to beat them again.
3) Paul's fans have appealed to FIFA to hold World Cup qualifiers in eight legs.
4) A certain Mr Daruwalla and Mani the parrot have resumed business.
5) The Berlin aquarium's marketing team has gone into a huddle for new strategies.

Someone was saying that Paul "may have died after being asked to predict the future of Liverpool football club."

:'( I saw two people yesterday wearing Chelsea merchandise and since we're facing them next, I gave them dirty looks.
I have a Chelsea badge and a wallet (which I don't use because it is not sturdy enough; a friend had gifted it to me). =D

Fernando Torres is back in action I think. He scored in the game before last and last game he had a beautiful assist, so if you're watching, keep your box of kleenex handy.

Also Toronto FC got Jurgen Klinsmann, former coach of German NT amogn other things to consult for us. Next year we might beat the Toronto sports teams curse *crosses fingers*

So yea, guess who scored 2 goals to defeat Chelsea?

And last month we were facing relegation and Chelsea is the number one team right now. n&b, now do you see the light?
I don't drop my faith in my favourite teams (or players) just because they perform badly once a while. If I would, I wouldn't be able to support anyone.
And Chelsea is still leading, right? =p
