I suppose you are right, Deveraux is weak. But, if I didnt come up with something, we wouldnt have been able to have this lovrly discussion :D.
Yes.
Ok, new topic to debate about spirits:
Do you think of Underwood raised a djinni, it'd kill him?
I'm thinking yes.

Yay.
Shame of the Super Son
Ianna: Underwood actually has raised Djinni. Remember that one that followed the imp back through the scrying glass to Nat? Im sure the book describes that as a Dhinn, although im sure its a low level one. I dont think he would be able to summon anything of Jabors level, or even Faqurals or Barti's.
Djinni, yes. Crawled into his body, ripped his soul from him and sent it to do damage to Nat's Pyche.
Other than that, it was weak.

I don't think that was a djinni, probably a foliot. Or maybe a subclass, like a horla.
And remember when he was fighting for his life with Lovelace? He summoned a higher imp and that wore him out. Usually, life-threathening crisises give you energy.

No, it was definitly described as a Djinni. Not a sub class, but i think it was a low level Djinni, something that couldnt have done much damage at all.

From what I read, I don't believe it was.

I think that's more of a sub-class, though I do agree it's a djinni because...

So you both do and dont agree?
Besides, subclass or not, a Djinni is a Djinni.
I agree it's not a foliot. But I disagree it wasn't a sub-class. I think a special djinni is used for that kind of thing.

But you said you thought it was a sub class, personally I just think it is a weak Djinni, and as you say, probably specially summoned for that kind of thing. Spying, scrying and informing.
That is a subclass, used for a speific purpose.
One that we don't have a name for.

Unless it is just a low level Djinni that is being used for a specific purpose....there is ntohing to say it isnt, i mean, Djinni can take on any form.
Yes, that's true.
I suppose this debate is over.

Yeah, thats a pitty. Hmm, new subject...why arnt Marids frequntly used. They must be smart, and we know they are strong, and there are certainly enough magicians to summon at least one, yet it never happens. I would have thought that, especially when hunting Honorious, two ministers would have summoned one...kind of like a tank. The Djinni are the infintary, and when the enemy is engaged, the Marid is brought in. I think that makes sense...
Probably because they can be traced easily.
And for co-op that's not so good.

they are prety much just usefull for war because they are powerfull though arogant
I am Bartimaeus, Sakhr al-Jinni!! I am N'gorso the Mighty, and the SERPENT OF SILVER PLUMES!! I have spoken with Solomon, and rebuilt the walls of Uruk, Karnak and Prague!!![]()
Well, we don't know if they're arrogant.
But they probably are.
