Please be nice to me.I'm sure everyone remembers Bartimaeus's old friend from Prague, Queezle. He was rather fond of her, enough to show affection towards her (lighthearted banter, putting his tail around her to reassure her, ect.). But I was rather surprised that, when she died, Bartimaeus mentions once that he wants to avenge her as he's going in to face the golem, and she's never really brought up again. I was rather suprised by this.
I guess I was just wondering if anyone else wondered why Bartimaeus didn't seem upset over her death. Maybe it's just that he'd seen many battles and lost many friends in the past, and got over it quickly. Or maybe he's only pretending that it didn't bother him. We know that when Ptolemy died, he was very upset. (We saw his reaction when Kitty brought it up to him.)
What are your thoughts on it?
