He's done it a few times before.

Apparently Gladstone is an influence.

*insert another Gladstone/DC drunkeness joke here*

Why do I get the bad feeling that this isn't the end of this?

Edit: He's banned but still showing up in the active users list?

He can still try and come on the forum, and apparently that causes him to show up in the userlist. He just can't actually do anything.

Oh. Mwahaha. He's been trying to get on for the past ten minutes or so.

And let that be a warning to you all, children, don't drink and post. Or drive. Or y'know, fly - that could get messy.

Haha.

On a side note, amaretto is very good. :) (And no, I did not get drunk.)

OMG, DC too gets drunk! I thought he was more sensible.
Gladstone will not influence me. He hardly tries =p. But my microbiology teacher could. He talks about food and wine too lovingly during lectures. We all start to feel hungry when he starts describing food items (he took food and dairy microbiology - the most boring chapters in microbiology. So he thinks his talk could make things more interesting.) And a few friends of mine are actually interested in trying out some beer/wine because of the way he describes it. I might get influenced too. And then poor Sent will have a very bad time.

DC? Sensible? BWAAHAHAA.

Yeah, something not right with that picture. I still say we should give him a drunk thread to show him just how stupid he's being. Psst, check your PMs.

Why is food and dairy microbiology so boring anyway?

They are much more boring compared to the other chapters. Which are damn interesting. In dairy and food microbiology, you learn about the kinds of micro-organisms that attack a product, they effects the cause on it, how to prevent such contamination, how to carry out tests to check whether the product is safe for human consumption etc. Quite boring and general.

Well, I meant him being more sensible than Gladstone on this matter.
Oh, and right. I saw the UK debate between the potential prime ministerial candidates. And I agree with Sent's avie; Nick Clegg was the best and I agree with him more than with the other two.

Ooh, so it's election time for you guys. Fun.

Our last one got overshadowed by Obama, not that it wasn't going to be a dissapointment anyway.

Yep. And Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats (that sounds like a band...) have shot up in the polls since the debate, so here's hoping we get some actual change for once.

Stupid law. But I think the courts might not allow it to be implemented. 'Cause it will definitely lead to racial profiling. And people are supposed to carry the documents out with them everywhere?

Don't they have to have the social security number/be a green card holder for getting free services in the hospitals? If not, they would better make such a law that only allows legal immigrants and citizens to access healthcare. And not a law which allows the police to detain anyone.

Can't politicians ever think to address the root problem?

I think that'll be the big issue people will have, it's just a pointless thing to have to worry about. I'm sure over half the people they'll catch will just be people who didn't feel like carrying, or forgot not y'know the actual illegal immigrants.

I'm pretty sure that there is some need for ID, yeah. We have the same problem here, people argue that people only want to enter our country for the healthcare, ignoring the fact that you need to actually BECOME a citizen first.

I really don't think that the root problem is drugs of all things. The illegal immigrants just think that they will have a better life in the States, and companies who want cheap labour enforce this. Plus, obviously you don't find many full citizens willing to do certain jobs...

And on the subject of the UK election; man, you boys really caught a break with the whole 'bigot' thing, I think. Personally I don't see why what he said was so wrong, it sounded like she was a bigot.

She was. That bit makes a good headline, but what really portrays Brown badly is the rest of the rant that's from, where he's shouting at his aides and generally being unpleasant.

He is 18.

Anyway, would you Brits prefer a hung parliament (LD having a role) or an outright winner (LD still does well though)?

Since there's no way the Lib Dems will win outright, a hung parliament will give them much more of a role.

So Brits, how was the voting?

I hear that the Conservatives might come out with a win, though with a hung parliament...

We're watching the results coming out now. Still looking like a hung parliament, yeah.
