I think Obama is brilliant. He is one of the few politicians who have very good intentions & I think he would do US a lot of good (i.e. if people care to listen to him). I feel he deserves a second term unless the Republicans come up with someone better.
Gordan Brown is incompetent.

Those both seem to match the general consensus.
I still don't agree with our dear CINC, but ah well.

CINC- Commander in Chief?

Hope is not lost

The NDP rocks.

Honestly I think Obama's been a little overhyped. Seems like everyone thinks he can solve all their problems. But I think he'll probably do a good job, though it's kinda early to tell.

Don't know much about Brown, but as Brit politicians go, he's not the worst by far.

Yeah, he garnered something of a messiah image.
Great for grassroots efforts, but kills expectations.
Well, Viagra for them, but sets up disappointment.

Bah. One guy shouldn't have to be the one to singlehandedly fix problems. Obama wasn't trying to claim that when running for office. (The campaign slogan was "Yes, we can." And for Obama to be able to even attempt to fix absolutely all, there would have to be a whole lot of power shifted to him. And I don't think a lot of people would be very hot about that either. (Though I have heard some who think it has already begun that way, but they tend to be the type to put Marx labels on him.)

Oh, and on an unrelated note, in English I'm supposed to follow two columnists and do a commentary on several of their works (a conservative and a liberal.) For liberals I'm torn between Huffington and Nader and for conservatives I have no clue at all. (Ron Paul is apparently not conservative. :() Any advice?

Anyone who ran for office.
I'm surprised on Paul...

And, that's why I said, it sets them up for disappointment - one person just doesn't do that, most certaintly not one in the government. Fast, it ain't.

That's the biggest thing that bothers me, his approach to the office.
He seems to be... not power hungry, but.
Hmm.
Pushing his boundries?
Something to that effect, I can't word it properly.

I've noticed, he seems more antagonistic towards Congress than I remember Bush being, that's for sure.

The NDP does not rock. They're negotiating with the Conservatives now.

Yup, they do. I don't get to form my own opinions on your leaders, as I don't get to watch them closely enough.

Entirely dependent on views and/or parentage.
The comment of his I agree with the most - Obama Calls Kanye a Jackass

Among conservatives, their view is worse, among liberals, it's, as usual, the opposite.
So, it's my consensus, at best.

Rush Limbaugh was a website which i think, summarizes a lot of what he says on the show...does that count?
