Yeah, like they'd give it back.
Some execs (I don't know about AIG specifically, but in general) have returned some or all of their bonuses. They're not all completely rotten to the core..

Plus if they do, everyone will stop whining and we can move on.

Why are there bonuses in their contracts anyway? Sounds like I have to redefine my definition of bonus...

2. a sum of money granted or given to an employee, a returned soldier, etc., in addition to regular pay, usually in appreciation for work done, length of service, accumulated favors, etc.

The reason everyone's going nuts is in this economy, nobody's getting bonuses... Especially in a company 80% owned by the tax payers (i.e. us).

But the point is, why's it in the contract? It's not a bonus if it's in your contract, it's part of your regular pay!

Do you think the G20 meet would actually achieve anything?

I hope it's a joke.

Mind you, if it is, it's not really even that funny. I'm not even speaking from a political standpoint either. It just kinda sucked.

No, to my knowledge, Fox News doesn't actually have any definitive sense of humour to speak of.

But at least they apologized.

Well according to that apology:

Well at least they got one out of three: ridiculous (though maybe not in the way they intended.)

So yeah...Colbert wins.

So, what's everybody's opinion of our dear president?
After his various... mistaken (possibly gaseous) exploits.
Here's the one I posted on some topic or other... ah, 'Weird News'.
"So... Obama's an ignorant, insulting and arrogant world leader with no balls.
Nah, nevermind, that's expected, not weird.
After all, he's liberal and from the states, lacking cajones and manners are almost needed."

So, there's mine.
I patiently await Sentynel's wrath :)

I'm not quite sure where you're getting any of those epithets from. Care to provide examples?

Personally I think it's far too early to judge. He's had power for far too short a time to form a serious, informed opinion.
