They were all right, but of course, they couldn't compare to the barty trilogy

I agree, PJ is nothing compared to the Barty books, but still its a good read. Anyway, just checked Rick Riordan's site. The 4th book is called 'The Battle of the Labyrinth' & it's releasing on 6th May next year.

Here's a summary of book 3, 'The Titan's Curse',

When Percy Jackson gets an urgent distress call from his friend Grover, he immediately prepares for battle. He knows he will need his powerful demigod allies, Annabeth and Thalia, at his side, his trusty bronze sword Riptide, and . . . a ride from his mom.

The demigods rush to the rescue to find that Grover has made an important discovery: two powerful half-bloods whose parentage is unknown. But that's not all that awaits them. The titan lord Kronos has devised his most treacherous plot yet, and the young heroes have just fallen prey.

They're not the only ones in danger. An ancient monster has arisen -- one rumored to be so powerful it could destroy Olympus -- and Artemis, the only goddess who might know how to track it, is missing. Now Percy and his friends, along with the Hunters of Artemis, have only a week to find the kidnapped goddess and solve the mystery of the monster she was hunting.

Along the way, they must face their most dangerous challenge yet: the chilling prophecy of the titan's curse.

If u need an extract from the book, either ask me or make a visit to www.percyjackson.co.uk.

Hmmm...sounds interesting. I might go check it out.
It is a good series. Then again, I like Greek Mythology so it's a bit of a biased answer. I've read all three books.

Where did you find that it's a five book series. Though from what the author says, it probably will be five books.

Hi, Fantasy2194. Welcome to the best forum in the whole world!
I check PJ stuff's from Rick Riordan's website. Never do so from percyjackson.co.uk cause they don't update at all. Book 4 still has'nt entered it.

I bought the 4th book, the Battle of the Labyrinth the first day it came out. :D

"Why does'nt anyone try Percy Jackson? It's good & got a storyline & is different from other magical fantasies."

I agree with this, this series does have a unique storyline (or, at least, I haven't read anything similar), and I like the characters and how Rick Riordan relates Greek Mythology to the modern world *Spoiler?*

(the satyrs reference the god Pan's absence to the destruction and pollution of the world, but later it's stated you can't wait for it to cure itself, everyone has to take part).

So I agree that more people should read this.

Wow! You got the book already? Which country are you from? It's not yet released in India. Do tell me how the book is once you have completed it.

I live in the U.S, which is where it first comes out, right? I finished it already.

The book is great, I think it's the best so far. It actually outmaneuvered one of my predictions while reading (though I got the other one right :D ), so I got surprised for once.

Don't know how much you want to know, but you get a full group for once (Percy, Annabeth, Tyson, Grover), and another character, so if you have a favorite character, they're probably in the story more. It also deals with some of the character's relationship.

Overall, I like this one the best. Hope your release date comes soon

The movie has about as much to do with the book as a mule with surfing.

I read it a long time ago. Haven't watched the movies yet. I liked the concept but I think the first person narrative bothered me.

If you read the book and watch the movie, you'll know that those are different from the very first time, and if I'm not mistaken, Annabeth isn't blonde in the first film, while she is a blonde in the book

I agree completely. You cannot even compare the two. And they dare to make a second movie, which just came out!
