I know a lot of people enjoyed the tragic ending.. And thought it was necessary.. And redeeming for Nathaniel..

bs. I don't care >.< I wanted Nathaniel to live and get with kitty and have babies and crap. call me a romantic, whatever. I enjoy a good tragedy now and again. But I really didn't find the ending suitable. Kitty is left perminantly scarred and alone, Nathaniel is presumed dead without promise of a fourth book, being a *trilogy* and everyone thinks Bartimaeus is dead, so no on'es going to bother summoning him.

Am i the only one that thought this was a little extreme? So what if humanity is saved? that's garbage. Maybe i'm viewing it a little pessimisticly, but all the characters got the shaft in the end. one of them's dead. one of them is presumed dead and one of them looks and feel like a grandma.
