Well, it *was* very bad, Barti was simply blocking out the pain. I think if it was simply a gash, they wouldn't have hidden the nature of the wound from the readers.

If it was very serious, it would have meant that Nat would have struggled to move around, never mind fight evil demons.

But he was. He had just enough energy for his big finish. He was on the verge of unconsciousness. He was dying while he was dismissing Barti.

...no we wasn't, unless you count a huge buildup of energy about thirty centimeters from you as "dying".

Even if his ribs weren't showing that amount of blood loss would kill anyone.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Exactly. The wound was great. He was falling asleep, meaning he was close to death by that point.

He was tired! He'd been jumping around fighting evil demons all night! Sure, it was a nasty cut/impact, maybe a broken rib or two, but certainly not fatal.

He wasn't huff-huff tired, he was sleepy, a clear sign that he was dying, since it means heavy blood loss.

My thoughts exactly, Luciene it seems our poor Pheonix is finally taking flight. (Wow, was that lame or what?)

We need to have an official day dedicated to mourning Nat's death. Although it would greatly depress us. But cookies could solve that problem.

By *that* point. The explosion saved him, though.

I firmly believe any miracle resulting in the survival of Nat (Fanon......) Will also result in a head injury which causes him to revert back to Mandrake.

And yeah. NEVER INSULT CHEESE!!! CHEESY THINGS ARE FANON!!!

He'd been up all night fighting evil demons.

Matters little. Adrenaline was more than enough to keep him up. When your up fighting for your life, nobody is literally falling asleep because of a few missed sleep hours.

But once the deed is done, the adrenaline goes away and you're dead tired.

Not in this case. Adrenaline was still pumping, he wasn't done..

Come on, man/woman -_- Can you honestly see a guy falling asleep while fighting a giant powerful demon after losing a few hours of sleep XD?

I can see eternal sleep when all that glass falls on him and his body is incinerated or something, yes.

P.S. I'm female! What kind of masculine posts do you do see me typing!?

I meant that even if the guy hadn't slept for a week, he wouldn't have been falling literally asleep at such time.
