Or one of them could have been a single parent, after the other ran off, and they just couldn't handle it.

That would be kind of harsh tho. Poor Nat if that were the case.

No, what I meant was that Kitty was adopted by commeners that wearn't thew birth parents.

Anyway, Nat's whole life wasn't that great was it? He THOUGHT he was happy, but he wasn't. He lost his morals, but when he got them back, well...

But he's still a very cool and complex character.
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

Everybody reading Golem's Eye XD

okay, so maybe he's not very likeable in GE but by the end of PG we like him again.

He would've been a lot more likeable if he had made a move on Kitty. Alas, coward -_-

i wouldn't say he was a coward. he didn't have feelings for kitty until the near the end of PG and by that time there was the whole 'having to save london from demons thing' to worry about.

Bah, he could've squeezed it in. Half the main characters in fictional works do -_-

Yeah, it sucks. As soon as we started to like him again at the end of PG he died.

You wpuld've perferred it. Would you have enjoyed as much? No.

I certainly would've have. That last page at the end did not make a 3-book series a work of art, the 3 books of the series did that.

Are you serious? You actually think book 3 would've been better if Nat had lived? You probably think that you would but once it actually read an alternative ending with Nat living at the end I can almost guarantee you will not enjoy it as much.

It depends on how it's written. I loved book 1, book 2 and book 3, the ending wouldn't have changed that one bit.

I'm not sure what I would've wanted. I mean, of course I didn't want him to die, but it WAS a good ending. I dunno, I would have to see one of each ending written by John sitting in front of me to decide.

And since there is no alternate ending as far as we know...
I say night I'm living in the forest of my dream,
I know the night is not as it would seem,
I must believe in something,
So I'll make myself believe it,
That this night will never go.

True, it wouldn't have killed him to make an alternate ending -_- Or make it a tad more open-ended.

Nat in GE was totally unlikable, but I understood why he acted the way he did.

*is of the Nat must die! school of thought* Nat had to die or he'd have a hard time keeping his name secret.
Nothing to see here, move along.
