The other day I watched Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I don't know why I hadn't seen it before. It KICKED ASS. One of the most entertaining movies I've ever seen. Anyone else seen?
When I set out from the boy's attic window, my head was so full of competing plans and complex strategems that I didn't look where I was going and flew straight into a chimney.

Saw District 9 today, and boy was it brilliant. The alien guns and mecha were awesome and the CGI aliens were perfect in my opinion.

Really? I was preparing myself for a disappointment until you said that.

Actually critics love it.
Saw The Boy the Striped Pajamas. May have been slightly over done, but still heartbreaking.
I wanna see District 9. But noooo, I'm probably going to get dragged to see the Time Traveller's Wife. Ugh.

I thought you'd enjoy that. =P
Meh. It got terrible reviews, so I'm thinking it's nothing but gooey romantic mush, bad acting, and plotholes.

And I'd like to read the book first. :P

Um, you should never trust me. I find some bad movies awesome.

But District 9 really was. Really. I promise.

In regards to the first part of your post, has anyone seen Black Sheep? It's really awesome.

How bout 2012. Has anyone heard anything about it? I've heard that it's good, but the trailers just look like The Day After Tomorrow.

Orson Welles: Rosebud. (dies)

Reporter: What does it mean?

Everybody Else: We don't know.

THE END
Accurate summary?

I hope it's not like The Day After Tomorrow. I'm looking forward to a great dramatic apocalypse movie, not another big fat political statement about how humanity (the American pig-dogs) are killing Earth and bringing about the end of the world. >.<

Has anyone seen that GI Joe movie yet? Does anyone actually want to?

I'll be waiting for the DVD release on that one, I think. Not too keen. I don't think it would have been such a big release if it weren't for the fact that there was absolutely nothing else on at the time.

Did anyone get really depressed during District 9? It looks like a little like a crying movie. I don't trust Peter Jackson and his Monsters with a heart of gold. King Kong depressed the hell outta me.

2012 is gonna be another Day After Tomorrow, writing wise.
Better special effects, the main reason I saw TDAT and will see this.

Saw, and loved, District 9.
I will admit, however, it does get a little slow about a quarter the way through, but not too badly.
Weapons and story, very cool.
Better acting than I thought, which is always a pleasant surprise.
Btw, I'm back!

And seeing Inglourious Basterds on Friday.
Looking forward to 9, The Fourth Kind, The Surrogates...
And others, those three are all I can think of at the moment.
