Yes, but remember, Kitty says once in GE Nat looks like the kids he is. Now, this would be kind of presumptuous if she was only 1 year older than him, no?wrote: Two years between AoS and GE. Three years between GE and PG.

Yes, but you don't see that many humble 13-year olds referring to a 12-year old as "just a kid". It just seems out of place -_-wrote: Kitty's much older mentally than Nate in that book. Fighting a resistance war for years does that to you.
What can we say? Underwood said he would balk at the prospect of summoning a djinn of Bartimaeus' power (so-so), so Kitty > most magicians, hm?wrote:anyway....what'd you guys think of the scene wwhere Kitty summoned Bartimaeus?

It's a figure of speech... you can refer to an eighty year old as a kid, but that does not mean he actually is.wrote:Yes, but you don't see that many humble 13-year olds referring to a 12-year old as "just a kid". It just seems out of place
Nate's a magician. He's physically and mentally much younger than Kitty. She's also insulting him.Phoenix wrote:Yes, but you don't see that many humble 13-year olds referring to a 12-year old as "just a kid". There's really no point for insults if the guy's unconscious. He keeps thinking of him throughout Golem's Eye as a child. Like I said, it just seems out of place for a (in this case) 15-year old to think of a 14-year old as a child.wrote: Nate's a magician. He's physically and mentally much younger than Kitty. Exactly. Meaning, as a magician, Kitty is above-average.wrote:Underwood was just an imbecile. There are lots like him in the government. But the people with the REAL power can summon Barti easily.
