I loved the Bartimaeus books but, like all trilogies, it was way too short.

Then we can't believe any of Bartimaeus' narration is anything but a false plot device used to trick us into thinking there is some semblance of thought behind the story other than Nathaniel babbling incoherently about things he says Bartimaeus has done but he hasn't, though Bartimaeus says it just to try to back up Nathaniel, who he has obtained a new respect for; thus, we are able to speculate that, in fact, half of the Bartimaeus Trilogy did not happen. Of course, we are faced by the paradox of 'he shows he can be a liar', so that may possibility mean we're supposed to think he's not to be trusted when everything is to be trusted!

Barti tricked Jabor into flying into Ramuthra's Other Place Rift.

Wait..Kitty becomes an old biddy type thing? :blink: I got the impression that she'd look somewhat like the heroine in Howl's Moving Castle, with silvery hair and such. Anyway, I think she'll just settle into mundanity like the rest of us and (!!)marry her childhood sweetheart, Jakob. She doesn't seem like the politician type like her manly hero was. I haven't read the books in ages so don't be harsh if I get some canonical facts wrong.
