It's Over?

Ptolemy's Gate

I totally agree with both of you.

However, if they were going to cast someone to play Ptolemy...I don't know how they'd do it. I mean, the actor would age by movie three.

If they got to movie three.

He could age in the books, because we aren't told what his age is until Book III. And with a bit of makeup, he could look young. Tom Felton (Malfoy in HP) is about 19 and he plays a 14 year old kid.

What if they only make one movie and squish everything in there? (Not that I want them to do that)

True, but I would consider it a consistancy problem. But still a minor one.

Then it would be about four hours long and not make any sense at all, unless someone really gifted took over. And then it'd just be silly.

They could do screenshots, or make Egypt kinda dreamlike to show Ptolemy/ Barti, because Barti doesn't talk about it a lot until the last book.

Perhaps. That's really good. They could show parts of it as Bart loses concisnous and such throughout the book. Or they could spread it over the three movies...even though it's not the way it's written.

Yah... movie making is different than writing, 'cause they have to make people understand the story in a limited amount of time.

Limited? Not always. Check out the ten commandments. It's like 10 hours.

Is it Boring?

I lowered the arm. "That's not all I can do if I put your mind to it"'

It's ok...but the actors are so overdramatic

They could do extended editions like Lord of the Rings.

Veering off topic.....

I wonder why they don't do extended editions for Harry Potter.

I think they do. But it would cost a lot I guess. Movies like HP and Lotr are more popular, so they are better funded.

True very true.

But what I never got was...it's Harry Potter. People are going to buy it no matter what.

Back on topic...

I've been watching The Two Towers and Galadriel has visions she didn't in the book. Wouldn't it be wonder *Sarcasm here* if Kitty dreamed of Ptolemy from some weird spiritual connection?

They always change stuff... like in Romeo and Juliet (new version) Mercrutio was a cross-dresser.
Shadow 7 Foliot
They're brutally changing Eragon :(

And the swords I saw? They look like Lightsavers.

Lightsavers rock, just not in Eragon.

And at the end of Ptolemy's Gate? They are so going to add a kiss between Kitty and Nat. Or in the middle with Jane.

I hope with Jane. I laughed so hard in the book when Nat was smelling her...Nat you're such a pervy teenager.
