Well no one's spoken on-topic for some time, and I have neither the patience or time to look through the last couple pages.

*tries to bring it back on topic* Well, if the gov't had ninjas and Mr. Pacman around, then they'd be doing Bart a huge favor, since someone else is doing Bart's job for him...

That'll be like a vacations for Bart. He hasn't had one since Ptolemy let him go and explore the world

Chocolate...why would he look for chocolate let alone Nat's chocolate? The only reason he'd look for it is so he could eat it, but its human food so it'd mess up his essence.

I like the Golem's Eye, more than AoS. I mean I liked them all of course, but I felt that AoS was very much and introduction to the characters, and Golem's eye was when they really started doing things with them.

We got to see Nat take the steps and then finally turn into John Mandrake, we figured out just who Kitty was, and learned about her past. We also saw a much softer side to Bartimaeus. There had been some traces of it in AoS, but when he goads Kitty into saving Nathaniel, that was a big moment for him.

It showed an evolution on Bart's part in his attitude towards Nat.
Course, 'goading' is something of a strong word.

I think it was very realistic how Nathaniel changed. Everybody goes through some stage of "I'm better than everyone else." Although admittedly, you do see a lot more of that in Nat than in anyone else. :D

I'm quite the arrogant person, and always have been, so I'm kind of naturally in that phase, period.
