Our Maths teacher gave us cake and biscuits and tea and juice. Only because we were the further maths class.

We ate marshmellows and bananas dipped in liquid nitrogen.

And smashed rose petals.

And then we ate chocolate chips while he demonstrated the speed of light with them.

We smashed bananas when we got to play with liquid nitrogen. =D Amongst other things - balloons do odd stuff partially immersed in liquid nitrogen.

My math teacher was going to take everyone in the class out to lunch if everyone got higher than a 95... unfortunately, not everyone did (I got a 98.5, hurrah)

I find all my classes dreadfully boring and easy. I start the semester with perfect marks, and gradually, I start reading in class instead of working, as I get bored.

Whoa. Dude. Do you study all day or are you some genius?

Gifted?

^o)
I could get marks that high (or close to), except I'm incredibly lazy. Next year I'm gonna have to start getting more 90's, because I'll need at least an 89% average in Grades 11/12 to get government money (or something like that, I forget) for university. Money I will need. Which sucks, because first semester next year I have my 4 most difficult classes AND a piano exam (I'm not very good and I just skipped Grade 6) at about the same time as the school exams.

Why can't school just stay easy?

i agree totally. i didnt revise until my gcses, i was content getting pretty decent marks but not doing brilliantly. unfortunately when i did try and work i wasnt really sure how...so i only really revised properly for my last exam and found it was so easy and began wondering why i hadnt been revising all along.

If school stayed easy you wouldn't learn anything really interesting or develop. It'd just be boring.

A lot of people can't wait to get out of school. Then when they get through it all, they get hit with life and wanna just go back to the good old freshman days....

Sure, but I've become increasingly convinced that my school may be for dumb people.

All schools are for dumb people (with the exception of highly expensive, highly selective schools). That's why, being smart, you have to motivate yourself to- Oh gods. Shoot me now, I'm doing motivational speeches. *headdesk*

You're serious?

.....YES! FINALLY! :P

Hmm...wonder who motivated you to motivate others; usually people that don't usually motivate people and motivated by other motivated people. :D

I personally like that method where really young children are left to learn on their own in a classroom rich with learning materials. The teacher would only intervene if a child needs help. I forget what this method is, but it's much better than teachers baby feeding the toddlers. Then people would be less dumb, learning the old fashion-way. The way Plato learned. ;)
