My school offers classes in a weird way. If you're an "advanced student" in 9th grade you take Acc. Biology, then in 10th you take Chemistry, then in 11th grade you take Physics, and in 12th you can take Anatomy or AP Biology or AP Chemistry or AP Physics or Chem II.
I took Acc. Biology 9th, Chem 10th, Anatomy and Physics 11th, and now I'm taking AP Physics. Of course, that's never stopped me from reading books and such to keep up with my other sciences. I find it weird my schedule is so wacked out.
I had to struggle to fit in extra sciences, extra maths (I'm able to take Calculus this year, luckily), and of course still take history and English. And French (which is not year round, only a semester). And then they have these random classes, like health, where you learn nothing and waste your time while you could be taking Chem II.
Wow. That was a long rant. I wonder if anyone will actually read the whole thing or understand it.
