Jerkoffs, my name is Dansariki.
Get it through your head Davy.
Nero, you've been dead for nearly two thousand years.
Shush.

I still like the ending, having recent;y re-read it.
I like how it finished off characters and ties up loose ends rather nicely.
Let never be said I'm never on-topic.

Too abrupt. That's what it was.

Well, a giant, angry, and pained spirit comes out into a confined room, how long do you expect it to last?

I guess the ending was good. I was so sad when Nat died though.

it was great... im not happy that nathaniel died but it did give some felling of finality, conclusion and solution. I liked it being from Bartimaeus's point of view so he can say he liked nat
He didn't. He implied it.

I think he actually said at the end that he would do anything for him as well as kitty or something like that....I can't remember but something about throwing himself into a pit of something or other for them....

Not even remotely close.
Sorry.

Something liek that, hard to quote from a book you've not read in years.

I hate it. I really do. The three main characters had became so alive and dear to me, that I mourned for days after reading the end. I'd expected them to get to do some huge changes in the world in future, but it lead to nothing. And when Nathaniel sent his regards to Kitty with Bartimaeus, I thought "What's the point? They'll never meet again, any of them."

While reading the books, I thought Stroud must be authors answer to Mozart, but after reading the end, I thought writing a book like that with an end like that, is like handing out puppies and then shoot them. I thought: "No, no, no! It can't be! He (the author) must be joking! Why? Why? He must be drunk, or something!"

To comfort myself, I had to imagine Nathaniel escaped in the nick of time with he's boots, got help in a nearby hospital and survived.

Puppies... idk, It did end the trilogy, without a doubt.
I think that's what Stroud was going for.

Welcome Dandelion. Back then I would agree with you all the way. :welcome:

If Nat survived, I think he'd be obsessed with summoning Bart again, since Nat knew that Bart survived because he was the one who let Bart go. Come to think of it, I'm starting to feel sorry for Bart...

The ending was great, sad but necessary. The perfect ending in all terms.
